Under the hood, the Asus PCE-AC58BT is powered by an Intel 9260 wireless chipset. This chipset is known for its very stable and fast WiFi performance. It comes with a PCIE X1 card and ASUS includes an extra thin PCIE header for an SFF chassis. The product also has an external antenna bracket that allows you to place the antenna outside for even better coverage. Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity is achieved with a USB connection to the motherboard. We discovered that it was also possible to remove the actual wireless chipset from the PCIE card and also place it on a laptop. It uses a standard NGFF slot that many laptops use as a wireless card.
