Where do I find the model number (SKU)?

The model number starts with three letters, hyphen and then followed by 3-4 digits for example CTH-690. You can find it on the packaging or on the back of your product.

How to install updates from Wacom Center

If Wacom Center is running, it can be opened from the Taskbar on Windows, or from the Dock on Mac.

If the Wacom Center is not running:

It can be opened on Windows by selecting the Start Menu, opening the Wacom Tablet folder and selecting
«Wacom Center»

It can be opened on Mac by opening Launchpad from the Dock and selecting «Wacom Center»

Select the Settings icon and General settings to see what (if any) updates are available for your product.

Important: Your Wacom product must be connected to your computer to see available updates.

If updates are available, click the Install update button and carefully follow all instructions as you update your driver or product.

A. Download Wacom Bamboo CTH-470 Driver.
1. Visit www.wacom.com or you can download the drivers in this page for free.
2. Select tablet type (Bamboo, Intuos, Cintiq ).
3. Select operating system.
4. Download and save driver installation in an easy-to-find place.
B. Uninstall and Reinstall (Wacom Bamboo CTH-470 Driver) for windows or PC.
- To remove the Wacom driver completely, run the following steps:
  1. Unplug the tablet’s USB cable from the computer.
  2. Uninstall the driver using the PROGRAMS/APPS AND FEATURES section of the Control Panel.
  3. Check for any other ‘Wacom’ or ‘Bamboo’ software that may be shown there. If you have either installed, Bamboo Paper and Wacom Inkspace do not need to be removed, but please uninstall anything else. Bamboo Dock is no longer supported. ( The following should have been removed automatically, but if you find them, please manually remove them from your system )
  4. Also in PROGRAMS/APPS AND FEATURES check for and remove “WebTablet FB Plugin 32 Bit” and “WebTablet FB Plugin 64 Bit” ( if they were properly removed C:Program FilestabletpluginsWacomIE.dll should no longer exist )
    - »»Check that “WacomIE.dll” has been removed from C:Program Filestabletplugins (if they were properly removed WacomIE.dll should no longer exist)
  5. Reboot your computer.
  6. Search Windows for the following:
    - »Open Device Manager and remove any remaining Wacom entries.
    - »”tablet.dat ” and “pen_tablet.dat” from anywhere on the hard disk (search as administrator)
    - »”wintab*.*” from the WINDOWSSYSTEM32 and WINDOWSSysWOW64 folders.
      
      After a uninstalling program you may run the registry cleaner ( that’s called CC cleaner ). to cleans up the temporary Internet files and all that junk that builds on all of your computer.
  7. Reboot your computer.( Your tablet driver has now been completely removed from the system )
- Now Re-install the driver:
  1. Right-click on the driver file you downloaded earlier, and select ‘run as administrator‘.
  2. Follow the steps to complete the installation.
  3. Reboot your computer
  4. Plug the tablet directly into your computer’s main USB port (at the back if a desktop PC) and to test it. ( Because USB hubs and extensions often cause issues with low power or data speed. )
Uninstall and Reinstall the Wacom Driver on Mac.
1. Click Command+Space Bar to bring up Spotlight.
2. Start typing Wacom Tablet Utility.
3. The choices will appear in the window that opens as soon as you start to type. Click on the icon named Wacom Tablet Utility.
4. Save a copy of your tablet preferences. and so all you would do is you would click on “backup”. it would a window pops up and ask you where you want to save the backup. (save it to a place where you know. you can find it all right after you’ve backed up your software.)
5. Uninstall the current driver now. that’s really important if you install over the current driver with the new driver. you can sometimes get problems. so they suggested that you remove the old drivers and software. it’s not just the drivers but you remove all the software as well.
  - Click remove. if you click that it will uninstall the tablet software and the driver. so click that and go through that process of uninstall. now if there any screen prompts just follow the screen prompts. if it ask you to restart your computer, then restart your computer.
6. Double click on the driver file you have downloaded earlier. (it will be a dmg file.) it will begin installing software go through the prompts. do everything that you need to do if it tells you to restart, then restart your computer.
7. After you’ve installed the new software from the driver that you’re downloaded. then you want to go back and open up your Wacom tablet utilities again. and this time you want to click on restore and that will restore your current settings of your Wacom tablet.
  
  Remember when you at Wacom tablet properties. you can customize it completely. for your own use and after you’ve customized that it takes a while. rather than having to redo it again after you change drivers.

⊗ The Wintab tablet stops working.(Tablet driver not recognized.) Causes could be:

Other tablets were connected to this computer before.
Older drivers were installed on this computer.
Tablet was connected before installing the manufacturer’s driver so that some default Windows driver was automatically installed.
Tablet disconnected from the computer.

Updating from an older (Wacom Bamboo CTH-470 Driver) to a Newer Wacom Driver

If you keep your Wacom Drivers up to date, then you should have a program called Wacom Desktop Center. You can find it in your apps. This program or utility notifies you when there is an update to your Wacom Driver. it does have a lot of useful functions. You can back up and restore your preferences, you can make changes to your preferences, you can get help and find tutorials.

But the most useful function is its ability to install an updated driver. It does this seamlessly and there is no need to uninstall the current driver first. Поиск и установка ПО для Wacom Bamboo

Представляем вашему вниманию ряд способов, которые значительно облегчат вам поиск софта, необходимого для графического планшета Wacom.

Способ 1: Сайт Wacom

Wacom — лидирующий производитель графических планшетов. Поэтому, на сайте компании всегда имеются свежие драйвера для любых планшетов бренда. Для того чтобы найти их, необходимо сделать следующее.

Переходим на сайт Wacom.
В самом верху сайта ищем раздел «Support» и переходим в него, нажав один раз на самом названии.

В центре открывшейся страницы вы увидите пять подразделов. Нас интересует лишь первый — «Drivers». Кликаем мышью на блоке с этой надписью.</li>

Вы попадете на страницу загрузки драйверов. В верхней части страницы находятся ссылки на загрузку драйверов для последних моделей планшетов Wacom, а чуть ниже — для предыдущих генераций. К слову, посмотреть модель своего планшета можно на его обратной стороне. Вернемся к сайту. На странице загрузки нажмите на строку «Compatible products».</li>

Откроется список моделей планшетов, которые поддерживают последний драйвер. Если в списке вашего устройства нет, то вам необходимо качать драйвера из подраздела «Drivers for Previous Generation Products», который находится чуть ниже на странице.</li>Следующим шагом будет выбор ОС. Определившись с необходимым драйвером и операционной системой, нажимаем кнопку «Download», расположенную напротив выбранной категории.</li>

После нажатия на кнопку, начнется автоматически загрузка установочного файла ПО. По окончанию загрузки запускаем скачанный файл.</li>Если появится предупреждение от системы безопасности, то нажимаем кнопку «Запустить».</li>

Запустится процесс распаковки файлов, которые необходимы для установки драйвера. Просто ждем пока он завершится. Это займет не более минуты.</li>

Ожидаем пока закончится распаковка. После нее вы увидите окно с лицензионным соглашением. По желанию изучаем его и для продолжения установки жмем кнопку «Принять».</li>

Начнется сам процесс установки, прогресс которого будет показан в соответствующем окне.</li>

Во время установки вы увидите всплывающее окно, где необходимо подтвердить намерение установить ПО для планшета.

Подобный вопрос появится дважды. В обоих случаях нажимаем кнопку «Установить».</li>

Процесс установки софта займет несколько минут. В результате вы увидите сообщение об успешном окончании операции и запрос на перезагрузку системы. Рекомендуется перезагрузить ее сразу же, нажав кнопку «Перезагрузить сейчас».</li>

Проверить результат установки просто. Заходим в панель управления. Для этого в Windows 8 или 10 жмем правой кнопкой мыши на кнопке «Пуск» в левом нижнем углу, и в контекстном меню выбираем соответствующую строку «Панель управления».</li>

В Windows 7 и меньше Панель управления находится просто в меню «Пуск».</li>

Обязательно необходимо переключить внешний вид отображения значков панели управления. Желательно установить значение «Мелкие значки».</li>

Если драйвера для графического планшета были установлены корректно, то в панели управления вы увидите раздел «Свойства планшета Wacom». В нем вы сможете произвести детальную настройку устройства.</li>На этом загрузка и установка ПО для планшета с сайта Wacom закончена.</li></ol>

Способ 2: Программа обновления ПО

Мы не раз рассказывали уже вам про программы для установки драйверов. Они сканируют ваш компьютер на наличие новых драйверов для устройств, скачивают их и устанавливают. Таких утилит предложено много на сегодняшний день. Давайте для примера скачаем драйвера для планшета Wacom с помощью программы DriverPack Solution.

Переходим на официальный сайт программы и нажимаем кнопку «Скачать DriverPack Online».
Начнется скачивание файла. По окончанию загрузки запускаем его.
Если откроется окно с предупреждением системы безопасности, нажимаем кнопку «Запустить».
Ждем пока программа загрузится. Это займет пару минут, так как она сразу же при запуске сканирует компьютер или ноутбук на предмет отсутствия драйверов. Когда откроется окно программы, в нижней ее области ищем кнопку «Режим эксперта» и нажимаем на эту надпись.
В перечне необходимых драйверов вы увидите устройство Wacom. Отмечаем их все галочками справа от названия.
Если вам не нужна установка каких-либо драйверов с этой страницы или вкладки «Софт», уберите соответствующие галочки, так как все они стоят по умолчанию. После того, как выделили необходимые устройства, жмем кнопку «Установить все». В скобках справа от надписи будет обозначены количество выделенных драйверов для обновления.
После этого начнется процесс загрузки и установки ПО. Если он завершится удачно, вы увидите соответствующее сообщение.

Обратите внимание, что данный способ помогает не во всех случаях. К примеру, DriverPack иногда не может до конца распознать модель планшета и установить софт для него. В результате появляется ошибка установки. А такая программа как Driver Genius и вовсе не видит устройство. Поэтому используйте для установки ПО Wacom лучше первый способ.

Способ 3: Поиск по универсальному идентификатору

В указанном ниже уроке мы детально рассказывали о том, как можно узнать уникальный идентификатор (ID) оборудования и скачать драйвера к устройству с помощью него. Оборудование Wacom не является исключением из этого правила. Зная ИД своего планшета, вы с легкостью найдете ПО, необходимое для его стабильной и качественной работы.

Способ 4: Диспетчер устройств

Этот способ универсален и применим в ситуациях с любыми устройствами. Его минус заключается в том, что помогает он далеко не всегда. Тем не менее, знать про него все же стоит.

Открываем диспетчер устройств. Чтобы это сделать, зажимаем на клавиатуре одновременно кнопки «Windows» и «R». В появившемся окне вводим команду devmgmt.msc и нажимаем кнопку «ОК» чуть ниже.
В диспетчере устройств вам необходимо найти свое устройство. Как правило, ветки с неопознанными устройствами будут сразу открыты, поэтому проблем с поиском не должно быть.
Нажимаем правой кнопкой на устройстве и выбираем строчку «Обновить драйверы».
Появится окно с выбором режима поиска драйверов. Выбираем «Автоматический поиск».
Начнется процесс установки драйвера.
По окончанию установки ПО вы увидите сообщение об успешном или не успешном завершении процесса.

Обратите пристальное внимание на то, что из всех описанных способов самым лучшим вариантом будет установка софта с официального сайта производителя. Ведь только в этом случае помимо самого драйвера будет установлена еще и специальная программа, в который вы сможете детально настроить планшет (силу нажатия, жесткость ввода, интенсивность и т.д.). Остальные способы полезны в том случае, когда такая программа у вас установлена, но само устройство не опознается верно системой.
