Добрый день.

У меня довольно старый компьютер (покупал еще в 2006 г.) и при установке браузера Chrome или Opera компьютер сильно тормозит, о нормальной работе можно только мечтать.

Вы не могли бы посоветовать какой-нибудь браузер, который менее требовательный к ресурсам и более быстрый…

Здравствуйте!

Вы, думаю, со мной согласитесь, что понятие «слабый компьютер» — довольно относительно 👀. Для некоторых — это компьютер, типа Pentium III (на котором и браузер-то еле запускается…), для других такой ПК — которому пару лет отроду…

Речь в данном разделе статьи будет идти о компьютерах, скажем так, не старше 10-15 лет (начиная примерно с Pentium IV, 512 МБ ОЗУ, ОС Windows: 98, ME, 2000, XP). Я, думаю, в 2006 г. вы покупали примерно такой компьютер (может чуть лучше/хуже).

Машины слабее, обычно, дома не используются и их я рассматривать не буду (они остались только в узких местах, где справляются полностью со своей задачей, и там знают без меня, что с ними делать 😎). Например, я видел не раз, как Pentium 2 (3) использовались в библиотеках университетов (в качестве каталогов литературы): их возможностей хватает для этого более чем.

6 лучших браузеров с низкими системными требованиями

1) Palemoon

Отличный браузер, разработанный специально для устаревших компьютеров (хорошо работает даже на Pentium IV или Athlon 64). Является несколько изменённой и доработанной копией Mozilla Firefox.

Но благодаря доработкам разработчиков, браузер потребляет существенно меньше ресурсов и работает на порядок быстрее своего старшего брата (по заверениям разработчиков до 25%).

Сохранена полная совместимость с расширениями для Firefox. Так же стоит отметить поддержку русского языка (хотя ставится дополнение отдельно).

В общем, если у вас тормозят современные популярные браузеры — рекомендую попробовать его в первую очередь!

2) K-Meleon

Еще один браузер, разработанный на движке Gecko (как и предыдущий, как и Mozilla Firefox).

Отличает этот браузер от остальных: его очень низкие системные требования и быстрота работы. Также стоит отметить, что на панели инструментов в K-Meleon есть кнопки, дающие возможность быстро отключить весь флеш-контент и скрипты на веб-странице (удобно для борьбы с рекламой).

Требования:

• Windows: 98, NT 4, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 (в целом поддерживаются практически все версии ОС от Microsoft);
• от 64 МБ оперативной памяти;
  от 50 МБ свободного места на HDD.

Браузер полностью бесплатный, с открытым исходным кодом. Разработан специально для ОС Windows 32 bit (Win 32).

3) Falkon (ранее QupZilla)

Falkon — достаточно интересный обозреватель веб-страничек. После объединения проекта с QupZilla в 2018 году — появилась на свет версия 3.0 (как птица «Феникс»), ставшая сочетать в себе все лучшие черты обоих браузеров.

Falkon отличается прежде всего тем, что он легкий (работает даже на бюджетных ПК), быстрый (странички очень быстро загружаются), и проект поддерживается практически всеми платформами (Windows, Android, Linux и т.д.).

Falkon, к тому же поддерживает все самые популярные функции в браузерах: закладки, умная поисковая строка, история посещений и др. По умолчанию в этом браузере включена блокировка рекламы (разновидность плагина AdBlock).

4) Maxthon Nitro

Этот браузер является младшим братом Maxthon. Отличается он от полноценного своего собрата, как вы поняли, несколькими важными вещами:

1. Удалены некоторые ресурсы и функции, за счет которых снижаются системные требования программы;
2. Умное кэширование веб-сайтов (программа автоматически запоминает странички, и когда вы снова к ним обращаетесь — она не загружает 10 раз одни и те же повторяющиеся данные);
3. Изменён интерфейс: все элементы, нагружающие и съедающие ресурсы компьютера — были удалены и изменены.

На самом деле, браузер получился легким и быстрым. Рекомендую однозначно к ознакомлению!

5) Otter Browser

Этот браузер разработан на основе классической Opera (V.12). Хочу сразу же заметить, что этот обозреватель ни 100% копия самой Opera, а хорошо проработанная и изменённая до неузнаваемости версия! 👌

Что его отличает от других конкурентов:

1. Разнообразие вкладок: закрепление, открепление, боковые вкладки, с низу, сверху…;
2. Менеджеры загрузок и сеансов;
3. Настройка поисковых движков (в браузере их много);
4. Удобная панель поиска;
5. Появление миниатюр вкладок при наведении на них курсора мышки (очень удобно, если открыли несколько вкладок);
6. Простой и аскетичный дизайн, не перегружающий вас ничем лишним;
7. Возможность масштабировать страницу.

6) Browzar Black

Потрясающе легкий браузер! При работе с ним, можете быть спокойны — он удалит все ваши следы пребывания, всю историю, куки и пр. Точнее, лучше сказать, что он вообще это не хранит!

Добавьте к этому, что его не нужно устанавливать и его вес составляет меньше мегабайта (по крайней мере на момент написания статьи ☝).

Так же поражает быстрота обработки браузером ваших запросов и открытие веб-страничек: они показываются буквально молниеносно (быстрее чем в Chrome!). Объясняется это тем, что браузер в функциональных возможностях сильно урезан, поэтому его применение необходимо в тех случаях, когда другие браузеры тормозят и не дают нормально читать веб-странички.

Так что, этот браузер подойдет всем обладателям слабых ПК, рекомендую однозначно к ознакомлению!

Из недостатков: в браузере нет важных функций, например, он не запоминает введённые вами пароли (вам каждый раз придется вбивать их заново), не ведет историю, не работает с элементами ActiveX. В общем, использовать его нужно точечно и по назначению (для повседневной работы на обычном ПК — я бы его не стал рекомендовать…).

Какой браузер установить на старый ПК?

Приветствую Вас, друзья. Пару дней назад один мой знакомый спросил у меня совета: какой браузер лучше всего поставить на старый ПК? Вопрос загнал меня в тупик, я как-то никогда не задумывался о подобных вещах. И так как знакомый до сих пор ждёт от меня совета, я решил углубиться в эту тему и сформировать свой ответ.

Браузер, или веб-обозреватель — прикладное программное обеспечение для просмотра веб-страниц, содержания веб-документов, компьютерных файлов и их каталогов; управления веб-приложениями; а также для решения других задач.

Начнём с самых распространённых браузеров. Дело в том, что Google Chrome, Opera и Mozilla Firefox отказались от поддержки Windows XP и Vista. То есть, последние версии этих браузеров на устаревших ноутбуках и ПК даже установить не получится. А даже если и получится – на старых ПК не хватит объёма оперативной памяти для нормальной работы этих браузеров. Вариант с использованием более старых версий – не лучшее решение. Web-стандарты не стоят на месте, а это значит, что используя старые версии браузеров мы увидим искажённое отображение современных web-сайтов. А то и вовсе не увидим отдельных элементов интернет-страниц.

Тем не менее, выбор всё равно есть. Сегодня я расскажу Вам о четырёх современных браузерах, которые будут отлично работать на старых ПК и ноутбуках, с успехом справляясь со всеми стандартными задачами.

K-Meleon

K-Meleon существует уже более десяти лет. Это браузер Mozilla, который включает в себя движок Gecko от Firefox. Дизайн пользовательского интерфейса браузера очень похож на аналогичный обычного Firefox. Как и Firefox, K-Meleon имеет широкие возможности по настройке панели инструментов, меню, горячих клавиш.

Хотя Вы и не сможете добавлять расширения от Firefox в K-Meleon, у этого браузера всё ещё есть множество удобных плагинов.

K-Meleon также является самым быстрым браузером, который способен работать даже в Windows 95, не говоря уже об XP, Vista и других операционных системах.

Из минусов: K-Meleon очень редко обновляется. Последняя на момент создания этой статьи стабильная версия браузера – 75.1, выпущена в 2015 году. Присутствует русскоязычная локализация.

Скачать K-Meleon с официального сайта. Обратите внимание на заголовок “Latest Stable Release” – выберите одну из версий: Download installer, которая требует установки, или portable, которая установки не требует.

Midori

Создатели Midori разработали браузер как альтернативу более «раздутым» продуктам программного обеспечения. В то время, как другие браузеры всё время увеличиваются в размерах, Midori остаётся минималистичным – браузер «весит» всего лишь 37.7 мегабайт. А так как старые ПК обычно не обладают вместительным жёстким диском, этот фактор может стать ключевым при выборе браузера.

Не смотря на малый размер, Midori отлично работает со всеми новейшими веб-технологиями, включая HTML 5 и CSS 3.

Midori был разработан на базе движка webkit, который причисляет его к тому же семейству, к которому относится Chrome. Браузер не имеет репозитория расширений, но в нём доступны несколько настроек, с помощью которых Вы можете подогнать Midori под свои нужды.

Midori имеет как установочную версию, так и portable, которую можно использовать без установки на ПК, к примеру с флешки или CD/DVD диска.

Pale Moon

Pale Moon – этот браузер является продуктом ответвления от исходного кода Firefox. По сути, это урезанная версия Firefox, которая работает в Windows XP и Vista. Для Pale Moon требуется всего 256 мегабайт свободной памяти и она оптимизирована для современных процессоров. Этот браузер эффективно использует системные ресурсы, что позволяет ему работать на старых ПК и ноутбуках с завидной быстротой.

Pale Moon имеет очень похожий на старые версии Firefox дизайн интерфейса. Многие расширения, которые доступны для Firefox, будут совместимы и с Pale Moon. Кроме того, этот браузер имеет и собственные эксклюзивные дополнения. В браузере также доступны настройки многих параметров вкладок, содержимого страницы и т. д., как и в Firefox.

Update статьи от 21.12.2018. Как правильно заметил один из читателей моего блога, после недавнего обновления браузер Pale Moon стал более требователен к ресурсам компьютера. Теперь системные требования таковы:
— Windows 7/8/10/Server 2008 R2 или более поздняя версия;
— 1 Гб оперативной памяти;
— не менее 200 Мб свободного дискового пространства.

Скачать Pale Moon с официального сайта. Наведите курсор на меню “Download”, затем “Pale Moon” и выберите одну из доступных версий браузера.

Maxthon 5

Четвёртый и последний на сегодня браузер, который я хочу Вам показать, это Maxthon 5. Это перспективное программное обеспечение, которое продолжает активно развиваться. Системные требования браузера очень скромны: процессор 1 ГГц, 512 мегабайт оперативной памяти и 64 мегабайта на жёстком диске.

Maxthon 5 совместим с Windows 2000, XP, Vista и более новыми операционными системами. Браузер включает в себя некоторые инструменты и опции, которых Вы не найдёте в более увесистых «братьях».

Maxthon 5 имеет широкие возможности синхронизации и резервного копирования облаков, что позволяет легко синхронизировать все данные между разными устройствами. К слову, браузер Maxthon 5 можно также установить на Android и iOS.

Google, Opera Software, and Mozilla have dropped Windows XP and Vista support in their latest releases. For Windows 7, the list is more extensive. We’re confident you’ll find the best browser for low-end PCs right here.

Even if Chrome was still compatible with Windows XP, the browser’s heavy RAM usage would stretch the resources of outdated PCs to the limit.

How much RAM should a browser use?

Pale Moon is a browser forked from Firefox’s source code. This is a stripped-down version of Firefox that runs on Windows XP and Vista.

This lightweight browser has its own add-on ecosystem, and even though the classic Firefox add-ons can work, there might be compatibility issues here and there.

The browser is built on technologies such as XUL and XPCOM, which makes it capable of good speeds while not hogging much of your PC’s resources.

Pale Moon requires just 256 MB of free RAM and it’s optimized for modern CPUs.

So this browser is even more system resource-efficient than Firefox, and it will run fairly quickly on low-spec laptops and desktops.

When it comes to the design, Pale Moon has a very similar UI structure compared to the older Firefox 3 versions, while having stripped out any design elements that are not useful.

The browser also shares many of Firefox’s customization options for tabs, page content, etc.

Even though this is a good browser option, it is worth mentioning that it doesn’t have any sandboxing capabilities and the Gecko fork used is an older version. This could influence the way newer web features are displayed (if at all).

The lack of this feature can stop people that need a sandbox environment to create apps, and also diminishes the security associated with this type of closed-end environment.

If you find that this is not a priority for you, then you won’t regret giving Pale Moon a try.

Firefox – Resource-efficient

The latest Firefox versions are not supported on older versions of operating systems anymore. However, this is still the best browser for slightly outdated Windows 7 desktops or laptops.

No matter if you want a theme that reflects your calm mind, or something that makes you think about the universe, you are covered.

Midori’s developers have designed this software to be a streamlined alternative to more bloated browsers. While this browser packs less than alternative browsers, it has only 37 megabytes.

In comparison, Firefox requires 200 MB of hard drive storage. Thus, this is a decent browser with low memory consumption for outmoded PCs.

Midori does still incorporate the latest web technologies. The browser supports HTML 5 media codecs and CSS 3, which is optimal and gets the job done if your PC doesn’t work with other web browsers at efficient speeds.

This lightweight browser was also developed with a Webkit rendering engine that ensures it’s in the same league as Chrome when it comes to browsing speed.

The browser doesn’t have a huge repository of extensions but does include several add-ons that further enhance the software.

Maxthon is a highly-rated browser that is growing in stature. Maxthon’s homepage boasts that the browser has a 670 million user base.

Maxthon’s system requirements amount to a 1 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, and 64 megabytes of hard drive space.

The browser is also compatible with Windows 2000, XP, and Vista as well as the latest platforms; so it will run smoothly on most desktops and laptops.

Maxthon includes some tools and options you won’t find in the big four browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer 11, Edge 14, and Firefox).

It includes a built-in ad blocker that you can remove ads with, which also reduces page tab RAM allocation.

Maxthon has extensive cloud synchronization and backup options so that users can seamlessly sync data across devices.

In addition, the browser incorporates software shortcuts; and Maxthon users can also capture snapshots with its built-in screenshot tool.

Other features that are worth mentioning are the tabbed interface that enables you to easily navigate from one website to the other and the fact that you can customize the toolbars.

This comes in extremely handy if you’re a user that wants optimization to the highest degree.

Mypal Browser – Accommodates older hardware

If you’re looking for a different kind of browser, then Mypal Browser might be just what you need. The browser is designed to be compatible with older operating systems, and it still works on Windows XP.

There are two versions of this software, one based on Firefox Quantum, and while this is the more modern version, it’s unstable but it still works.

The other version is based on Pale Moon, but the development of that version has been abandoned, so while it works, it might be out of date.

Mypal Browser uses the Goanna rendering engine, thus ensuring maximum performance, even on older hardware.

The browser supports Pale Moon extensions, as well as legacy Firefox extensions that were released before Quantum. Customization is also a big part, and every part of the interface is customizable.

Some PC issues are hard to tackle, especially when it comes to corrupted repositories or missing Windows files. If you are having troubles fixing an error, your system may be partially broken.

Falkon – Works on old Linux machines as well

Falkon is a lightweight web browser and it’s available on multiple platforms. The software is using QtWebEngine for rendering.

Regarding the features, you can find all the standard features, such as bookmarks, history, and tabs. If you want, you can show your bookmarks or browsing history in a sidebar, which is a nice touch.

It’s worth mentioning that this software blocks ads by default thanks to the built-in AdBlock plugin. As for compatibility, the browser is compatible with Windows 7 and later, and it can also work on any version of Linux.

Falkon can be installed system-wide or you can install the portable version and use it to run it from a flash drive.

It’s worth mentioning that the software uses DuckDuckGo as the default search engine, so your search queries will remain private and secure from third parties.

Each browser variant has been benchmarked using the Base Mark Web 3.0 test while using the same system, with the same configuration and number of running programs.

To understand the results, a higher score value implies better browsing speeds for the browsers presented below.

At the top of our list, we have UR Browser with a benchmark score of 1413.48, making it the fastest browser for all PCs and an excellent option for low-specced PCs worldwide.
