Браузер для windows xp 32 bit в 2022 году

Оперативная система виндовс ХП упрямо любима интернет-пользователями. При всех недостатках «хрюша» остается удобно-современной виндой для различных задач, включая путешествия по интернету. Но в случае серфинга по сети у XP имеется проблема –  устаревшие браузеры, не способные работать с HTML5, показывать ютуб-видео и взаимодействовать с наиболее современными сайтами.

Если раньше были опера, фаерфокс, хром и, да что там – интернет эксплорер, то с 2014-2016-го разработчики их под Windows XP не обновляют. И что остается пользователям «хрюши» сегодня – мириться с ограниченными функциями устаревших версий известных браузеров или отказываться от «винды», переходя на незнакомые ОС вроде Linux или Ubuntu? Последнее, кстати, вполне хороший вариант, если win XP на ноуте или нетбуке.

Кстати, все рассмотренные ниже браузеры также актуальны для 32-битной операционки Windows Vista.

Имеется третий выход: поставить новый браузер для Windows XP 32 bit или 64 bit , который будет нормально взаимодействовать с различными сайтами. Таких браузеров сегодня аж целых три варианта. И хотя каждый из браузерного трио не вполне идеален, однако с позиции серфинга по интернету и социалкам – полностью пригоден.

Расположение описаний браузеров представлено в порядке, в котором я считаю их лучшими после многомесячного использования. Соответственно, самый лучший — первый из описанных.

Браузер MyPal для виндовс XP

После массового отказа разработчиков топовых браузеров от поддержки «хрюши», первое место для пользователей ИксПи занял «бледнолунный» браузер Pale Moon. Но и его разработчики отказались обновлять продукт под виндовую «хрюшку» в 2016 году, начиная с 26-й версии.

И тогда самостоятельной адаптацией новых версий «Бледной Луны» под Windows XP занялся российский разработчик-энтузиаст, известный на популярном у разработчиков веб-сервисе GitHub под ником «Feodor2».

Начну с плохого. MyPal, бывший прежде практически единственным обновляемым браузер под ОС Виндовс XP, полноценно поддерживающий YouTube, — ему практически всё в том плане, что обновленных версий на «бледнолунной» основе больше не будет и доступна только версия 29.3.0 (но хотя бы она доступна!).Правда, скачать с гитхаба ее уже невозможно, там все подчищено. Мною обнаружен другой репозиторий файлов «Пельменя», судя по его формату, созданный именно автором адаптационных релизов Федором. Ссылки под закачки «Пельменя», представленные ниже, ведут на названный репозиторий.

В августе 2021-го нидерландская компания Moonchild Production, выпускающая Pale Moon и ранее не возражавшая против адаптации ее браузера под XP, заявила категорический отказ к использованию исходного кода ее браузера и реформацию под XP браузер. В итоге гитхаб окончательно срезал проект Федора с «бледно-лунной» адаптацией под «хрюшку», причем навсегда и окончательно.

Возможно, Федор найдет другой подходящий браузерный движок и организует на нем следующий икспишный браузера. Посмотрим, как получится. А пока остается эффективной версия браузера MyPal 29.3.0, которую по прежнему возможно русифицировать, но вшить в нее расширения и аддоны от PaleMoon уже не получится — тамошние разрабы «пельмешку» блочат.

Русификация браузера MyPal

Первым делом идем на вебстраницу (клик на кнопку ниже), чтобы скачать файл необходимой локализации, то бишь русификации.

Обратите внимание: в идеале заходить на страницу с русификатором нужно именно через MyPal, затем, чтобы автоматически встроить ru-Ru аддон в «енотовый» браузер, кликнув на файл ru-локализации (он сам закачается). Как вариант, можно скачать xpi файл через другой браузер, а затем открыть его через MyPal (т.е. мышкой подхватить и вставить в MyPal).

Браузер Maxthon для виндовс XP

Обновляемые версии браузера Макстон выпускаются китайской компанией Maxthon International Limited с 2002 года. В браузере используются два движка – WebKit (основной) и Microsoft Trident, которые могут переключаться пользователем для лучшего отображения того или иного сайта.

У Maxthon куча современных наворотов, за которые его любят многие интернет-юзеры планеты – поддержка плагинов микрософтовского IE вместе с собственными разработками MX, удобный и привлекательный интерфейс, сохранность случайно закрытых вкладок, возможность параллельного просмотра нескольких открытых вкладок одновременно (экран делится на несколько самостоятельных окон) и многое другое.

У браузера Maxthon действительно шикарный встроенный загрузчик потокового видео, позволяющий скачать и сохранить практически любой ролик с любого сайта!

Однако нас интересует совместимость браузера с Windows XP, верно?

Браузер Макстон скорее частично, чем полностью совместим с «хрюшей». Впрочем, его разработчики продолжают попытки оптимизации под слабые ресурсы ИксПи, поэтому полностью сбрасывать MX со счетов рановато.

И если не придираться к некоторым глюкам stable версии Макстона, вроде не восприятия защищенности соединений с некоторыми вполне добропорядочными сайтами, а также совершенно дурацкую привычку по нескольку раз перезагружать одну и ту же страницу «тяжелых» сайтов (как оказалось, это такая функция всех современных браузеров) – пользоваться этим браузером с виндовс XP вполне можно.

Видео на ютубе и в твиттере Maxthon исправно воспроизводит на «хрюшке». Впрочем, в реалиях весны 2020-го на XP лучше Макстона работает только MyPal (рассмотрен выше).

UC Browser для XP

Разработчиком белкобраузера (его стилизованный логотип – белка) является китайская компания UCWeb Inc., приобретенная в 2014 году корпорацией Alibaba Group. С 2004 года UC Browser разрабатывается для мобильных устройств различных платформ, включая Android и iOS. Версии данного браузера под популярные ОС Windows создаются китайскими разработчиками на двух движках одновременно (Chromium и Trident (IE)) с 2015 года.

Нужна версия под Windows — которая расположена первой в линейке браузерных версий). Пройдите по ссылке с Win XP, нажмите там на значок «прямоугольного экрана» — необходимая версия браузера сама определится и будет предложена к загрузке.

По неведомой мне причине загрузка прежним способом (выше, перечеркнуто) браузера UC Web не работает. Поэтому обнаружил и заменил ссылку в кнопке выше на закачку загрузчика «Белки» с сайта официалов — загружается установщик, требующий подключение к интернету для полной загрузки браузера. Следует скачать его (файл размером 1,6 Мб), затем запустить на своем ПК двумя кликами и догрузить браузер.

Пока еще плюсы UC браузера:

• высокая скорость загрузки сайтов. «Белка» работает через облачные прокси-сервера разработчика, максимально сжимающего данные для их загрузки пользователем;
• современный стиль интерфейса;
• возможность восстановления закрытых вкладок с выбором при перезапуске браузера, какие открывать вкладки, а какие нет;
• возможность выбора браузерного движка (Chromium или Trident (IE));
• полноценная русская локализация интерфейса (т.е. все функции на русском изначально);
• бесплатная встроенная функция ad-block, включаемая и отключаемая по желанию пользователя в настройках.

Если ты, принципиальный хрюшепользователь, прежде не пользовался этим браузером – напрасно, он неплох. Тем не менее, функционально он слабее двух других «верхних» вариантов браузеров.

У UC Browser имеется достоинство, недоступное двум другим браузерам — шикарный приватный режим. В частности, качать торренты без регистрации на рутракере мне удается только в приватном режиме белкобраузера.

Замечу, что чтобы перейти в защищенный режим UC браузера, нужно дважды кликнуть на самостоятельном ярлыке, вносимом «белкой» на рабочий стол ПК при ее установке. Ярлык по умолчанию называется «UC Browser — приватный режим».

Все увеличивающиеся минусы UC браузера:

• отдельные сайты будут открываться криво (т.е. отчаянно глючить), поскольку у «белки» не всегда получается прочесть все css-стили. Наиболее полно распознает стили на сайтах MyPal (см. первый браузер в обзоре, т.е. выше);
• «вшитый» поисковик Яндекса. Изменение основного поисковика с яндекса на другой (например, гугл), внешне доступное в настройках UC Browser для Windows XP, ничего не дает – все равно будет «по умолчанию» строго яндекс. Китайские разработчики известны своей практичностью и законтрактовались по русскоязычному сегменту интернет-пользователей с компанией Яндекс;
• нелюбовь к сервису Cloudflare. UC браузер считает любые сайты, путь к которым пролегает через CDN сервис Cloudflare, заведомо небезопасными — ругается на «кривой» сертификат безопасности и отказывается их открывать. В действительности в заходе на сайты через промежуточный сервер Cloudflare нет ничего особенно опасного — обычный CDN, американский. Некоторые сайтовладельцы пользуются им, чтобы получить «зеленый замочек» в окошке браузера забесплатно, не приобретая сертификат и не заморачиваясь с интеграцией басплатного сертификата. В общем, если ты обнаружил «неоткрываемость» необходимого сайта в «белкобраузере» — копируй его адрес и открывай в MyPal или Maxthon;
• нелюбовь к социалке «вконтакте». Понятия не имею, почему браузер UCWeb не желает открывать VK. Но что есть, то есть — не открывает. С июня 2020 «Вконтакте» открывается без гримас со стороны «Белки»;
• с января 2020-го ютуб обещает вскоре отказать в нормальном пользовании этим видеохранилищем с браузера UC Web;
• время от времени проявляющееся нежелание открывать Википедию. «Белка» принялась безосновательно придираться к ssl-сертификату вики-страниц в ноябре 2019-го. В 2020 году Википедия с «белки» то открывается, то не открывается безо всяких внешних причин.

Впрочем, пользоваться поиском через соответствующие окошки браузера не обязательно – несложно вывести окошки-ссылки по необходимым поисковикам на главную панель UС браузера и выходить сразу на основные сайты поисковых системы (к примеру, того же гугла через ссылку на google.com).

В первоначальной редакции этого обзора UC Browser был на первом месте по функциональности для ПК на win XP. Однако на ноябрь 2019 года «белкобраузер» стал проигрывать и MyPal и Maxthon, отчего перемещен на последнее место пользовательского рейтинга.

Почему не следует пользоваться устаревшими браузерами

Последние официально доступные версии известных браузеров для Windows XP – Internet Explorer 8, Opera 36.0, Chrome 49 и Firefox ESR 52, из которых наиболее «новым» является 52-й «огнелис», чья поддержка прекращена компанией Mozilla Foundation летом 2018 года.

Самый древний из них – восьмой Internet Explorer, поддержка улучшений безопасности которого прекращена Микрософтом еще в 2014-м. Под XP браузер Chrome не обновляется с апреля 2016-го, а Opera – с августа 2016-го. Поэтому все они – опасное старье, угрожающее твоей конфиденциальности в интернете.

Поступай разумно – качай рабочие и современные браузеры под Виндовс ИксПи, представленные выше. Они двумя пригодным браузерами для Win XP, достаточно функциональными и безопасными (потому что обновляются) в 2022 году являются MyPal и Maxton.

В завершении

Должен отметить, что названные выше три браузера обладают общим недостатком, прежде всего связанным с криптографическим устареванием самой ОС Windows XP. Результат этого – неполная конфиденциальностью пользователей win XP. В частности, платежи с карт через любой «хрюшин» браузер выполнять безопасно физически не способен, поскольку защищает передаваемые данные очень посредственно и их может перехватить некто посторонний.

Обязательно учитывайте недостаточную криптографию «хрюши». Для надежной конфиденциальности потребуется либо заменить ОС слабого ПК на линукс-убунту (они бесплатны, современны и надежны), либо приобрести более мощного компьютерное железо под Windows 10 (как минимум — под Win7). Или проще – выполняйте платежи только со смартфона, с современной версией оперативной системы Android или iOS и через оригинальное операционно-платежное приложение, взятое с Google Play или iTunes.

Сведения по браузерам, доступным для ОС Windows XP, будут мною периодически уточняться и обновляться. На 2022 год среди рассмотренных в статье браузеров, на мой взгляд, наиболее подходящим под ОС Windows XP пока что является MyPal.

Рейтинг браузеров для Windows XP

Компьютеров на операционных системах Windows XP осталось очень мало. Официальная поддержка платформы прекращена Microsoft, поэтому разработчики программного обеспечения предлагают пользователям свои приложения для Windows 7 и 10. Тем не менее, на слабых компьютерах встретить Windows XP можно часто, потому что только она может гарантировать достойную производительность. Владельцы таких ПК нередко сталкиваются с проблемой выбора браузера: найти хороший веб-обозреватель с поддержкой Windows XP сейчас не просто.

Какой браузер подойдет для старого компьютера

Основная проблема старых компьютеров – нехватка объема оперативной памяти для запуска современных программ. Браузеры традиционно потребляют много ОЗУ, поэтому найти веб-обозреватель, который обеспечит высокую скорость загрузки страниц без ущерба общей производительности ПК, непросто.

Выбирать браузер для Windows XP нужно, в первую очередь, исходя из минимальных требований программы к системе. На страницах загрузки всегда указано, какие операционные системы поддерживаются обозревателями. Актуальные выпуски популярных браузеров (Google Chrome, «Яндекс.Браузер») требуют на борту ПК минимум Windows 7. Некоторые обозреватели поддерживают установку на Windows XP (Opera, Mozilla), но работают очень медленно.

Для старых компьютеров важно, чтобы браузер не только запускался, но и не перегружал систему. Допустимый объем потребления оперативной памяти для машин с Windows XP на борту – 40-45%, процессор желательно не перегружать более чем на 30% одним приложением. Под такие критерии популярные браузеры в большинстве своем не подходят. Единственным исключением являются старые версии обозревателей, которые поддерживают работу с Windows XP.

Несмотря на то, что слабые компьютеры имеют сниженные требования к веб-обозревателям, не стоит забывать, что все современные сайты работают со сценариями JavaScript, Flash и HTML5. Браузеры для Windows XP должны обрабатывать скрипты всех форматов, чтобы веб-страницы отображались корректно, иначе программа просто не сможет применяться по прямому назначению.

Обзор браузеров

Высокой скоростью работы на Windows XP могут похвастаться немногие браузеры. Преимущественно к ним относятся программы на альтернативных движках, которые либо не используются на популярных браузерах, либо использовались на ранних версиях. Хуже всего на XP работает Chromium, поскольку он сильно перегружает оперативную память и приводит к системным ошибкам на старых ПК. Обратить внимание стоит на браузеры на базе WebKit или Gecko, которые разрабатывались в рамках проектов Opera и Mozilla.

Обзор K-Meleon для Windows XP

K-Meleon

K-Meleon разрабатывается с 2000 года на платформе Gecko. Браузер считается одним из самых легких и быстрых обозревателей для любых компьютеров. Даже при работе с 10 вкладками в диспетчере задач не удастся увидеть загрузку ОЗУ выше 30%. Программа не выделяется какими-либо сложными элементами интерфейса и в некоторой степени напоминает Internet Explorer. Благодаря этому она занимает на жестком диске мало места и запускается за 2-3 секунды. Некоторые элементы HTML5 отображаются некорректно, но это не мешает комфортно работать с веб-страницами и флеш-содержимым.

Midori

Браузер Midori на данный момент не поддерживается разработчиком, но по-прежнему используется владельцами слабых компьютеров. Веб-обозреватель, несмотря на необычный дизайн GTK+ и поддержку дополнений для браузеров на базе WebKit, работает очень быстро. С обработкой сценариев JavaScript проблем не возникает, равно как и с мультимедийным содержимым. Браузер внешне похож на первые версии Safari. Разработчик предусмотрел версию только для 32-битных систем, но на слабых компьютерах 64-битные версии ОС устанавливать крайне не рекомендуется.

Pale Moon

Самым быстрым браузером для Windows XP заслуженно считается Pale Moon. Веб-обозреватель разработан на платформе Gecko, которую активно поддерживал проект Mozilla, пока Firefox не перешел на Quantum. Pale Moon прекрасно работает с HTML5, JavaScript и дополнениями Mozilla Addons, минимально загружая оперативную память. Дистрибутив браузера весит менее 40 Мб, а при распаковке занимает порядка 100—150 Мб на жестком диске. Программа работает на всех версиях ОС Microsoft, начиная с Windows 2000. Несмотря на поддержку дополнений Mozilla, устанавливать их в большом количестве не следует: при наличии более 2-3 активных расширений оперативная память начнет перегружаться.

Maxthon 5

Оптимальным решением для любителей различных дополнений, плагинов и вспомогательных модулей станет облачный браузер Maxthon. Программа поддерживает встроенный блокировщик рекламы, синхронизацию с другими устройствами, несколько специальных режимов и собственный диспетчер загрузок. Конечно, такой набор дополнений не может не отражаться на объеме потребляемой памяти: браузер потребляет на 10-15% больше, чем Pale Moon или Midori. При этом обозреватели на Chromium при аналогичном функционале потребляют на 30-40% ОЗУ больше. За счет работы на двух движках, Trident и Blink, браузер отлично справляется с любыми типами веб-страниц и обеспечивает комфортный веб-серфинг даже на слабых компьютерах.

Можно ли установить на Windows XP последние версии популярных браузеров

Windows XP не поддерживается многими популярными браузерами, особенно их последними версиями. Минимальным требованием для установки обозревателей является наличие Windows 7 на компьютере. Если компьютер с Windows XP имеет среднюю производительность (ОЗУ – больше 2 Гб, частота процессора – от 1,44 МГц), то можно попытаться установить последние версии браузеров. Для этого нужно скачать не менеджеры для установки и загрузки программ, а полные дистрибутивы (как правило, находятся на страницах «Другие версии» или «Для других платформ»).

Некоторые популярные браузеры поддерживают Windows XP даже на уровне последних версий. Например, Maxthon, Opera и Mozilla со всеми новыми возможностями можно смело устанавливать и скачивать даже не старые компьютеры. Но делать это не рекомендуется (особенно с Opera и Mozilla), поскольку программы сильно загружают оперативную память: работать с ними окажется невозможно.

Если хочется использовать популярные браузеры без ущерба производительности, лучше всего скачивать старые версии программ. Они не только меньше загружают память и процессор, но и на официальном уровне поддерживают Windows XP. Например, специальные архивы есть у Mozilla Firefox, Opera и Chrome. Подбирать подходящие версии для компьютера придется индивидуально, исходя из технических характеристик ПК.

Слабый компьютер на Windows XP – не приговор для любителей веб-серфинга. Существует масса решений, которые позволяют установить на ПК хороший браузер и наслаждаться любимыми интернет-страницами без ущерба производительности. Пользователи могут воспользоваться как устаревшими версиями популярных веб-обозревателей, так и скачать альтернативные легкие браузеры, которые не занимают много места в оперативной памяти и на жестком диске.

Выбор браузера на 2022 год

Вот уже совсем скоро Новый год и Рождество, и я, в общем-то, как обычно (за последние несколько лет ☝) публикую небольшую заметку с наиболее актуальными браузерами на следующий 2020 год.

Особенно, эта статья может быть полезна для тех пользователей, кому ежедневно приходится по нескольку часов работать в интернете. Простой пример: если вы каждый день тратите хотя бы по 2-3 мин. на неудобное меню (в поисках закладок, каких-то опций) — то за год наберется почти

15 часов! Т.е. 15 часов впустую из-за какой-то ерунды.

Согласитесь, вопрос стоит того, чтобы потратить разово 10-15 мин. и установить наиболее удобный и быстрый браузер.

Ладно, теперь без лишней лирики, ближе к теме…

1) браузеры Edge и Internet Explorer в обзор включены не были;

2) несмотря на популярность браузера TOR, он также не был включен в обзор (нужен далеко не всем, к тому же, скорость его работы оставляет желать лучшего…);

Яндекс-браузер

Главное окно — Яндекс браузер

Яндекс браузер — продукт от самого известного российского поисковика. Браузер выделяется на фоне остальных лучшей интеграцией с полезными сервисами: картами, почтой, маркетом, облачным диском, дзеном, новостями и т.д. Всё это работает сразу же из-коробки, и не дальше 1-2-х кликов мышки. 👌

В общем-то, если вы из России и часто пользуетесь сервисами Яндекса — то для вас выбор очевиден…

Chrome

Chrome — главное окно браузера

Один из самых популярных браузеров в Интернете (от Google). Отличается своим простым дизайном (где тебя ничего не отвлекает), быстрой скоростью работы, хорошей степенью безопасности, автоматическими обновлениями, и огромным количеством дополнений.

Ну а что еще нужно не искушенному пользователю, у которого нет каких-то специфических задач? Вот то-то…

Opera

Opera — стартовый экран

Opera отличается от вышеприведенных браузеров наличием целого ряда встроенных инструментов (на скорость работы не влияют). Многие из них крайне полезны (например, как тот же VPN), и сильно выручают в трудную минуту…

Добавлю, что даже если вам этот браузер пришелся не по вкусу, крайне рекомендую его иметь как запасной (когда понадобиться что-то загрузить / или проверить, когда основной браузер не сможет это выполнить).

Firefox

Firefox — стартовый экран

Firefox (или в народе «Лиса») — бесплатный многофункциональный браузер, который один из немногих работает на собственном движке Quantum (позволяет браузеру расходовать памяти меньше, чем конкуренты).

Также стоит отметить, что для Firefox выпущено большое количество дополнений (плагинов, расширений), есть элементы Яндекса (позволяют тесно интегрировать браузер с поисковиком, почтой, картами, и пр.).

Atom — стартовая страничка

Atom — это новый переработанный браузер от компании Mail.ru. Позиционируется как приватный и безопасный браузер (и это не просто слова: через спец. панель вы можете запретить сайту доступ к вашей камере, микрофону и пр.). Разработан на базе Chromium (как и предыдущий их продукт Амиго).

Стоит отметить тесную интеграцию браузера с соц. сетями и сервисами от Mail.ru (почта, Мой Мир, и пр.). Чтобы добраться до нужных сервисов — вам потребуется 1 (2) клика левой кнопки мыши. 👌

UC Browser

UC Browser — главное окно

UC Browser (в народе «Белка) — очень популярный браузер от китайской компании UCWeb. Первоначально это приложение было выпущено лишь для мобильных телефонов (и снискав популярность) — вышли версии и для Windows.

Браузер очень быстрый, со встроенным модулем сжатия страниц. Работает на движках Chromium и Trident.

Vivaldi

Vivaldi — главное окно

Vivaldi — это браузер от разработчика старой доброй Opera (если кто-то еще ее помнит ☝). Стоит отметить, что появился он сравнительно недавно (в 2015г.), однако, пользуется уже достаточно большой популярностью.

Браузер заметно выделяется наличием функций, которые были в Opera 12-й версии: мега-удобная боковая панель, режим отображения картинок, заметки, превью вкладки по наведению мыши, корзина с закрытыми вкладками, визуальные вкладки, и пр.

SlimJet

SlimJet — главное окно

SlimJet — этот веб-браузер построен на основе движков Chromium и Blink. Отличается хорошей скоростью работы, встроенными удобными функциями (о них ниже), и модулем для загрузки файлов (позволяющим ускорить скачивание в 2-10 раз!).

Также стоит отметить, что браузер довольно «экономно» расходует ОЗУ: 10-20% экономии памяти (по сравнению с той же Opera или Chrome) при работе с 15+ открытых вкладок.

Maxthon

Maxthon — стартовая страничка

Maxthon — достаточно быстрый браузер, который работает сразу на двух движках Webkit и Trident (по заверениям разработчиков им удалось найти некий баланс, позволяющий браузеру выжимать макс. скорость из ресурсов ПК).

Стоит также отметить, что в браузер встроено очень много полезных инструментов (блокировщик рекламы, менеджер паролей, виртуальная почта, приватный просмотр, ночной режим и др.). Это все доступно сразу «из коробки», без установки доп. расширений (коих тоже хватает).

Brave

Brave — главное окно программы

Относительно новый браузер, ставший доступный к использованию обычными пользователями лишь в середине 2019г. Стоит отметить, что Brave достаточно быстро набирает популярность, и считается одним из самых безопасных и анонимных браузеров в сети.

Крайне рекомендуется к использованию при подключении к интернет в общественных местах (кафе, парки, аэропорты…).

Современный браузер для Windows XP

Оперативная система виндовс ХП упрямо любима интернет-пользователями. При всех недостатках «хрюша» остается удобно-современной виндой для различных задач, включая путешествия по интернету. Но в случае серфинга по сети у XP имеется проблема – устаревшие браузеры, не способные работать с HTML5, показывать ютуб-видео и взаимодействовать с наиболее современными сайтами.

Если раньше были опера, фаерфокс, хром и, да что там – интернет эксплорер, то с 2014-2016-го разработчики их под Windows XP не обновляют. И что остается пользователям «хрюши» сегодня – мириться с ограниченными функциями устаревших версий известных браузеров или отказываться от «винды», переходя на незнакомые ОС вроде Linux или Ubuntu? Последнее, кстати, вполне хороший вариант, если win XP на ноуте или нетбуке.

Кстати, все рассмотренные ниже браузеры также актуальны для 32-битной операционки Windows Vista.

Расположение описаний браузеров представлено в порядке, в котором я считаю их лучшими после многомесячного использования. Соответственно, самый лучший — первый из описанных.

Браузер MyPal для виндовс XP

После массового отказа разработчиков топовых браузеров от поддержки «хрюши», первое место для пользователей ИксПи занял «бледнолунный» браузер Pale Moon. Но и его разработчики отказались обновлять продукт под виндовую «хрюшку» в 2016 году, начиная с 26-й версии.

И тогда самостоятельной адаптацией новых версий «Бледной Луны» под Windows XP занялся российский разработчик-энтузиаст, известный на популярном у разработчиков веб-сервисе GitHub под ником «Feodor2».

Начну с плохого. MyPal, бывший прежде практически единственным обновляемым браузер под ОС Виндовс XP, полноценно поддерживающий YouTube, — ему практически всё в том плане, что обновленных версий на «бледнолунной» основе больше не будет и доступна только версия 29.3.0 (но хотя бы она доступна!).Правда, скачать с гитхаба ее уже невозможно, там все подчищено. Мною обнаружен другой репозиторий файлов «Пельменя», судя по его формату, созданный именно автором адаптационных релизов Федором. Ссылки под закачки «Пельменя», представленные ниже, ведут на названный репозиторий.

В августе 2022-го нидерландская компания Moonchild Production, выпускающая Pale Moon и ранее не возражавшая против адаптации ее браузера под XP, заявила категорический отказ к использованию исходного кода ее браузера и реформацию под XP браузер. В итоге гитхаб окончательно срезал проект Федора с «бледно-лунной» адаптацией под «хрюшку», причем навсегда и окончательно.

Возможно, Федор найдет другой подходящий браузерный движок и организует на нем следующий икспишный браузера. Посмотрим, как получится. А пока остается эффективной версия браузера MyPal 29.3.0, которую по прежнему возможно русифицировать, но вшить в нее расширения и аддоны от PaleMoon уже не получится — тамошние разрабы «пельмешку» блочат.

Русификация браузера MyPal

Первый делом идем на вебстраницу по ссылке, чтобы скачать файл необходимой локализации —->

Обратите внимание: в идеале заходить на страницу с русификатором нужно именно через MyPal, затем, чтобы автоматически встроить ru-Ru аддон в «енотовый» браузер, кликнув на файл ru-локализации (он сам закачается). Как вариант, можно скачать xpi файл через другой браузер, а затем открыть его через MyPal (т.е. мышкой подхватить и вставить в MyPal).

Браузер Maxthon для виндовс XP

Обновляемые версии браузера Макстон выпускаются китайской компанией Maxthon International Limited с 2002 года. В браузере используются два движка – WebKit (основной) и Microsoft Trident, которые могут переключаться пользователем для лучшего отображения того или иного сайта.

У Maxthon куча современных наворотов, за которые его любят многие интернет-юзеры планеты – поддержка плагинов микрософтовского IE вместе с собственными разработками MX, удобный и привлекательный интерфейс, сохранность случайно закрытых вкладок, возможность параллельного просмотра нескольких открытых вкладок одновременно (экран делится на несколько самостоятельных окон) и многое другое.

У браузера Maxthon действительно шикарный встроенный загрузчик потокового видео, позволяющий скачать и сохранить практически любой ролик с любого сайта!

Однако нас интересует совместимость браузера с Windows XP, верно?

Браузер Макстон скорее частично, чем полностью совместим с «хрюшей». Впрочем, его разработчики продолжают попытки оптимизации под слабые ресурсы ИксПи, поэтому полностью сбрасывать MX со счетов рановато.

Качать stable версию браузер Maxthon, замечу, следует именно с официального сайта разработчиков. Заходим с OC Windows XP и жмем на синюю кнопку Download Now. Нужная версия браузера сама себя определит и начнет загружаться.

И если не придираться к некоторым глюкам stable версии Макстона, вроде не восприятия защищенности соединений с некоторыми вполне добропорядочными сайтами, а также совершенно дурацкую привычку по нескольку раз перезагружать одну и ту же страницу «тяжелых» сайтов (как оказалось, это такая функция всех современных браузеров) – пользоваться этим браузером с виндовс XP вполне можно.

Видео на ютубе и в твиттере Maxthon исправно воспроизводит на «хрюшке». Впрочем, в реалиях весны 2020-го на XP лучше Макстона работает только MyPal (рассмотрен выше).

UC Browser для XP

Разработчиком белкобраузера (его стилизованный логотип – белка) является китайская компания UCWeb Inc., приобретенная в 2014 году корпорацией Alibaba Group. С 2004 года UC Browser разрабатывается для мобильных устройств различных платформ, включая Android и iOS. Версии данного браузера под популярные ОС Windows создаются китайскими разработчиками на двух движках одновременно (Chromium и Trident (IE)) с 2015 года.

Нужна версия под Windows — которая расположена первой в линейке браузерных версий). Пройдите по ссылке с Win XP, нажмите там на значок «прямоугольного экрана» — необходимая версия браузера сама определится и будет предложена к загрузке.

По неведомой мне причине загрузка прежним способом (выше, перечеркнуто) браузера UC Web не работает. Поэтому обнаружил и заменил ссылку в кнопке выше на закачку загрузчика «Белки» с сайта официалов — загружается установщик, требующий подключение к интернету для полной загрузки браузера. Следует скачать его (файл размером 1,6 Мб), затем запустить на своем ПК двумя кликами и догрузить браузер.

Пока еще плюсы UC браузера:

Если ты, принципиальный хрюшепользователь, прежде не пользовался этим браузером – напрасно, он неплох. Тем не менее, функционально он слабее двух других «верхних» вариантов браузеров.

У UC Browser имеется достоинство, недоступное двум другим браузерам — шикарный приватный режим. В частности, качать торренты без регистрации на рутракере мне удается только в приватном режиме белкобраузера.

Замечу, что чтобы перейти в защищенный режим UC браузера, нужно дважды кликнуть на самостоятельном ярлыке, вносимом «белкой» на рабочий стол ПК при ее установке. Ярлык по умолчанию называется «UC Browser — приватный режим».

Все увеличивающиеся минусы UC браузера:

Впрочем, пользоваться поиском через соответствующие окошки браузера не обязательно – несложно вывести окошки-ссылки по необходимым поисковикам на главную панель UС браузера и выходить сразу на основные сайты поисковых системы (к примеру, того же гугла через ссылку на google.com).

В первоначальной редакции этого обзора UC Browser был на первом месте по функциональности для ПК на win XP. Однако на ноябрь 2019 года «белкобраузер» стал проигрывать и MyPal и Maxthon, отчего перемещен на последнее место пользовательского рейтинга.

Почему не следует пользоваться устаревшими браузерами

Последние официально доступные версии известных браузеров для Windows XP – Internet Explorer 8, Opera 36.0, Chrome 49 и Firefox ESR 52, из которых наиболее «новым» является 52-й «огнелис», чья поддержка прекращена компанией Mozilla Foundation летом 2018 года.

Самый древний из них – восьмой Internet Explorer, поддержка улучшений безопасности которого прекращена Микрософтом еще в 2014-м. Под XP браузер Chrome не обновляется с апреля 2016-го, а Opera – с августа 2016-го. Поэтому все они – опасное старье, угрожающее твоей конфиденциальности в интернете.

Поступай разумно – качай рабочие и современные браузеры под Виндовс ИксПи, представленные выше. Они двумя пригодным браузерами для Win XP, достаточно функциональными и безопасными (потому что обновляются) в 2022 году являются MyPal и Maxton.

В завершении

Должен отметить, что названные выше три браузера обладают общим недостатком, прежде всего связанным с криптографическим устареванием самой ОС Windows XP. Результат этого – неполная конфиденциальностью пользователей win XP. В частности, платежи с карт через любой «хрюшин» браузер выполнять безопасно физически не способен, поскольку защищает передаваемые данные очень посредственно и их может перехватить некто посторонний.

Обязательно учитывайте недостаточную криптографию «хрюши». Для надежной конфиденциальности потребуется либо заменить ОС слабого ПК на линукс-убунту (они бесплатны, современны и надежны), либо приобрести более мощного компьютерное железо под Windows 10 (как минимум — под Win7). Или проще – выполняйте платежи только со смартфона, с современной версией оперативной системы Android или iOS и через оригинальное операционно-платежное приложение, взятое с Google Play или iTunes.

Сведения по браузерам, доступным для ОС Windows XP, будут мною периодически уточняться и обновляться. На сентябрь 2022 года среди рассмотренных в статье браузеров, на мой взгляд, наиболее подходящим под ОС Windows XP пока что является MyPal.

How much RAM should a browser use?

To answer this question, we first need to be aware of the fact that there is no specific RAM-usage value that all browsers should attend to.

What are the best browsers for old PCs?

Opera – Best browser for low-end PC

Opera is perhaps the best browser to use on your old Windows computer if you want good page-loading speeds and various useful features.

As older PCs are not as well-equipped to deal with demanding tasks as the newer versions, the way Opera is built brings great advantages, as it is optimized to consume as few computing resources as possible.

One important aspect that enables Opera to offer such great speeds is the fact that no ads are allowed, so the loading page times are reduced considerably.

Blocking ads means preventing unnecessary scripts from slowing you down, but you may also click Manage exceptions to whitelist those websites that shouldn’t be subject to ad-blocking.

Pale Moon is a browser forked from Firefox’s source code. This is a stripped-down version of Firefox that runs on Windows XP and Vista.

This lightweight browser has its own add-on ecosystem, and even though the classic Firefox add-ons can work, there might be compatibility issues here and there.

The browser is built on technologies such as XUL and XPCOM, which makes it capable of good speeds while not hogging much of your PC’s resources.

Pale Moon requires just 256 MB of free RAM and it’s optimized for modern CPUs.

So this browser is even more system resource-efficient than Firefox, and it will run fairly quickly on low-spec laptops and desktops.

When it comes to the design, Pale Moon has a very similar UI structure compared to the older Firefox 3 versions, while having stripped out any design elements that are not useful.

The browser also shares many of Firefox’s customization options for tabs, page content, etc.

Even though this is a good browser option, it is worth mentioning that it doesn’t have any sandboxing capabilities and the Gecko fork used is an older version. This could influence the way newer web features are displayed (if at all).

The lack of this feature can stop people that need a sandbox environment to create apps, and also diminishes the security associated with this type of closed-end environment.

Each browser variant has been benchmarked using the Base Mark Web 3.0 test while using the same system, with the same configuration and number of running programs.
