Uninstall EOS Webcam Utility Beta software on your computer if installed, before you install EOS Webcam Utility 1.2 software on your computer.
The camera can only operate with one application on your computer at a time. If the video conferencing or streaming application you are trying to use cannot receive the video feed from your camera, close all other applications on your computer that may be connected to the camera.
When using EOS Webcam Utility 1.2 software with Facebook messenger on the Firefox browser, EOS Webcam Utility will not be listed as a function on your device. We recommend that you use the desktop version of Facebook messenger or utilize a different browser.
We cannot guarantee the compatibility of the EOS Webcam Utility 1.2 with all video conferencing and/or streaming applications on the market. If you experience any issues, we recommend using an alternative video conferencing or streaming application and/or browser.
When using EOS Webcam Utility 1.2 software, please make sure to use the latest firmware of the connected camera to achieve optimal performance.
Setup instruction
Please refer to the instructions below on how to download and install the software.
Exit all other applications when installing this software.
1. Download «EOSWebcamUtility-WIN1.2.zip» from the download page. Save the «EOSWebcamUtility-WIN1.2.zip» file to a folder of your preference on your computer.
2. When the «EOSWebcamUtility-WIN1.2.zip» folder saved to the computer is extracted, the «EOSWebcamUtility-WIN1.2» will be generated, so double-click «Setup.exe» in the extracted folder. Installation of EOS Webcam Utility will begin. (If the User Account Control window appears, follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.)
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
4. After the installation is complete, you must restart your computer to apply these changes. If the installation is completed properly, the downloaded file and the «EOSWebcamUtility-WIN1.2.zip» file will no longer be necessary.

Guide to Use EOS Webcam Utility
Install EOS Webcam Utility
- Select either Windows or macOS* version when downloading.
- Install it onto your computer.
- Once completed, restart your computer.
- It would not show up as an application but enables the use of compatible Canon cameras on your computer.
*Currently, only Windows version is available. macOS version would be released soon.
Prepare Your Camera
- Turn on your camera.
- Locate the Mode Dial / Mode Switch / Mode Button Interface on your camera.
- Set the camera to video mode* (Movie Mode).
- Set the camera to your desired exposure.
*Optimal settings: Full HD and frame rate of 30p (29.97p) or 24p (23.98p).
Connecting Your Camera
- Locate the USB port on your camera.
- Insert compatible USB cable* into camera’s USB port.
- Insert the other end of the USB cable into your computer’s USB port.
*Different cameras have different USB type and may not come bundled with camera.
Selecting Your Camera
- Go to your desired conferencing or streaming application.
- Look for Audio / Video settings within the application*.
- Select EOS Webcam Utility under Camera.
- Make sure Audio input is from your computer or external microphone**.
*Different applications would have different layouts.
**EOS Webcam Utility does not transmit audio.

Весь набор функций, которые нужны для обмена компьютера и камеры информацией, представлен в этой программе. Загружать фотографию на компьютер при помощи EOS Utility очень легко и удобно. Утилита работает быстро и без торможений. Для камер EOS Digital возможна дистанционная съемка, управляемая через компьютер. Такая функция обеспечивается датчиком дистанционного управления, который установлен в камере. Все параметры фотоаппарата в данный момент времени так же отображаются на вашем компьютере. В любой момент вы сможете корректировать выдержку, диафрагму, баланс белого и пр. Делая снимки в формате RAW вы можете загружать их в редактор непосредственно с камеры, экономя своё время. Изображения JPEG так же можно отправлять непосредственно в программу для обработки. Теперь данная утилита работает как на Windows, так и на MAC.
