The QuickScan 2400 series of corded versions include the QD2400 and the QW2400 area imagers, while the 2400 cordless scanners are comprised of the QBT2400 / QM2400 area imagers.
As of today, 2D barcode readers are in high demand across all market segments of the data capture industry, with features such as reading from mobile phone displays and with outstanding omnidirectional reading performance on virtually all codes.
Ideally suited for point-of-sale (POS) checkout applications, the QuickScan QD2400 imager features a soft, dark red illumination combined with two blue LED triangles pointing at the targeted bar code, developed with the unique intent to reduce visual stress of the operator during the daily scanning activities.
The QuickScan Lite QW2400 is specifically designed for reading long and truncated 1D codes and larger 2D codes from close distances. The QW2400 imager has an extra-wide Field of View (FOV) which captures these challenging 1D and 2D codes at a nominal distance using different scan angles, meeting the scanning needs in Retail, Light Manufacturing, Document/Bill Processing and Banking/Finance.
Featuring Bluetooth® Wireless Technology, the QuickScan QBT2400 2D imager can transmit data to the host through its base station as well as to any commercial or embedded Bluetooth v3.0 compliant device. The QBT2400 2D imager can also be connected to any tablet using either iOS or Android™ operating systems via the Bluetooth HID profile.
Featuring Datalogic’s STAR Cordless System™ 2.0, the QuickScan QM2400 2D provides a simple point-to-point connection with secure radio communications with no risk of interference with Wi-Fi infrastructures and very low sensitivity to obstacles.

USBLAN for Windows allows for the simple creation and management of a USB link from a PC to a vendor device, using industry standard networking over USB protocols. When a matching device is connected, USBLAN is loaded as driver for the network function, and creates a virtual network interface, which functions like an Ethernet or wireless interface, but using the USB network link as a medium. The setup.bat script uses DPInst from Microsoft to pre-install the drivers required for your device. DPInst creates a USBLAN entry in the Programs and Features list. Uninstalling this program/feature will uninstall the USBLAN driver.
Installed devices may be removed using the Device Manager program. There is an option in the Device Manager to «remove driver software». This option will remove USBLAN and all device instances from the registry.

USBLAN
Overview
USBLAN for Windows allows for the simple creation and management of a USB link from a PC to a vendor device, using industry standard networking over USB protocols. When a matching device is connected, USBLAN is loaded as driver for the network function, and creates a virtual network interface, which functions like an Ethernet or wireless interface, but using the USB network link as a medium.
The USBLAN driver is provided with an easy-to-use installation kit that can be distributed as-is by OEM’s, or, customized further as part of the installation of other software.
For each connected device instance, USBLAN creates a layer 2 network interface. The underlying medium is a USB transfer containing one or more IEEE802.2 frames.
Features

Uninstallation

There are two methods of removing the USBLAN driver. These two methods should not be mixed: if one if used, the other should not be.

The
setup.batscript usesDPInstfrom Microsoft to pre-install the drivers required for your device.DPInstcreates a USBLAN entry in thePrograms and Featureslist. Uninstalling this program/feature will uninstall the USBLAN driver. -
Installed devices may be removed using the Device Manager program. There is an option in the Device Manager to «remove driver software». This option will remove USBLAN and all device instances from the registry.

What should happen when I plug in the device?
After reboot, with the device connected, the device should connect and use the driver you installed in Step 1. The device will show up in Windows Device Manager as «Datalogic USBLAN Adapter #1» or similar.

How do I remove the driver from my PC?
If the basic uninstallation steps don’t work for you, repeat the following steps with every hardware ID (i.e. each specific device) you’ve used so far.
- Run Device Manager and look for your device. If you find it, right click and select «uninstall» and check the «Remove Driver Software» checkbox.
- Unplug the device and connect it again. You may find a previous edition of USBLAN matches.
- Repeat the above until the device manager reports «unknown device»
- Repeat the preceding steps for other HID’s. (Cody’s note: I really don’t understand what this means)
- We’re still not finished: connect your device to other USB ports on the PC — make sure you get «unknown device» reported.
- Under Windows 10, there is a version on Windows Update. When the removal of local versions is complete, Windows Update will supply a new version. This can be prevented by temporarily suppressing internet access.
- For completeness, technically, the DatalogicUSBLAN folder in the registry should be removed (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesDatalogicUSBLAN). After this the machine will need to be rebooted.
