Если новый принтер подключить к неподготовленному компьютеру, то обязательно возникнут проблемы. Это происходит потому что отсутствуют необходимые настройки в Windows. Проблему можно решить, если установить специализированное программное обеспечение (драйвер) от компании НР. Она поможет системе правильно опознать модель принтера и наладить с ним связь.
В первую очередь переходим по ссылкам, которые располагаются вверху страницы, чтобы скачать драйвер для принтера HP PSC 1410. Найти закаченные файлы можно либо в менеджере загрузок интернет-браузера, либо в папке, куда система помещает скаченное из интернета — «Загрузки». Для запуска файла щелкаем по нему мышкой.
В открывшемся окне выбираем ссылку «Установка дополнительного ПО».
Нажимаем по опции «Рекомендуется» для продолжения установки.

Далее мастер предложит способы решения проблемы, возникшие в процессе установки. Выполните рекомендованные действия и в конце нажать на кнопку «Далее».

HP PSC 1410v Printer Specifications
The HP PSC 1410v is a model member of the HP PSC 1400 series. Other members of the series are;

HP PSC 1410v driver Windows System Requirements
There are some Windows Operating system versions supported by this model of printer. They include Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack III or higher and Windows XP. In addition to these OS versions, the printer also supports the Windows XP Media and tablet editions.
The minimum requirements for these versions of Windows XP vary; Intel Pentium II or Celeron or any other compatible processor. Also, a RAM size of 128 MB plus a free hard disk space of 395 MB for software installation. This software installation includes the Japanese language operating systems without the Hagaki software. More so, an additional 50 MB of a hard disk is necessary for full-color scanning. The required monitor is an SVGA 800 x 600 screen resolution with 16-bit color depth. The supported browsers include the Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack II or higher versions. These details above refer to the minimum requirements.
However, the manufacturer recommends that the following specifications must be in place for a perfect delivery;
1. A processor of Intel Pentium III or higher
2. A RAM size of 256 MB
3. An SVGA monitor of 1024 x 768 display resolution and 24-bit color depth for 131x series
4. An Internet access
5. Installed Soundcard
6. Other required apps include the Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or later versions
HP PSC 1410v driver Macintosh System Requirements
The required processor is a G3 although the manufacturer recommends a G4 processor. A minimum requirement of 128 RAM although HP recommends 256 MB or higher for a smooth run. The available hard disk space you must have before running the software is 400 MB. Also present is the HP memories disc creator software which requires a CD-writer and 700 MB additional hard disk space. You must also provide an SVGA monitor with 800 x 600 display resolution. The software installed include QuickTime 5.0 or later versions.
Cartridges
The compatible print cartridges for this product are the HP 21 and HP 22 black and tri-color ink cartridges.
Connectivity
The primary means of connectivity is through the hi-speed USB 2.0 cable of less or equal to 3 m length. This length is to minimize injected noise due to the potential high electromagnetic field. This USB port is also compatible with USB 1.1.

The input paper tray accommodates a total of 100 sheets of plain paper while the output tray takes 50 sheets.

Disadvantages
1. This printer does not support Macintosh operating system versions OS 9, Mac OS 10.1.5 or earlier. Others with non-support include Mac 10.2, Mac 10.2.1, or Mac 10.2.2.
2. Low output tray which can only hold just 50 sheets of plain paper. This capacity is even much smaller for thicker sized documents
3. The printer package has no USB cable
