Usually commercial software or games are produced for sale or to serve a commercial purpose.

Hey guys,

I am running Windows 7 on my laptop and using Side Quest to sideload apps to the Quest but every time I went to install the Oculus Go ADB Driver I would get an error message that basically said windows couldn’t install .inf type of files. Which meant that I could not see the folders for the Quest when I plugged it into the computer and it would not connect to Side Quest.

Figured out a way around this and I wanted to share it in case anyone else was having the same struggle!

First download the ADB Driver from https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/oculus-go-adb-drivers/ and extract the data to a folder on your desktop or where ever you keep your Oculus files if you are a little more organized.

The file that you would usually right click and then select install for is «android_winusb.inf», which is the driver for the Quest

1. Click on the Start button and type in «Device Manager» and select the Device Manager application

2. Select «Action» from the top toolbar and then click «Add legacy hardware» which will open a wizard

3. In the Wizard click «Next» on the first page

4. On the second page: select the option «Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)» and then click «Next»

5. On the third page make sure «Show All Devices» is highlighted in the «Common hardware types:» box and select «Next»

6. On the fourth page select «Have Disk…» button, then in the dialogue box that pops up select «Browse…» to search for where you saved the «android_winusb.inf» file and select this, then click «OK» back in the dialogue box, and then «Next»

7. On the fifth page select «Next» which will install the .inf

8. On the sixth page click «Finish» and you are done! Would suggest rebooting the computer and then try plugging in your Quest

 ***If you’re running on a Windows PC you’ll need to follow this step however if you’re using Mac or Linux then you can skip installing the oculus ADB drivers.***

To communicate with our PC, we need to install ADB drivers to allow our PC to communicate and transfer files to your oculus quest.

All you need to do is:

1. Download the Oculus Go ADB drivers directly from the Oculus.
2. Once downloaded extract the folder where you want the drivers to be located using an application like WinRAR or 7-zip and open the extracted folder
3. Then right-click on Android_WinUSB.inf  and click install.
4. Once installed go ahead and restart your PC.

Установить драйверы и ADB

Если вы видите команды, выделенные жирным шрифтом в следующих инструкциях, введите их в командной строке и нажмите клавишу ввода:

• Подключи свой Oculus Quest через USB
