The following changes and improvements were made to X7 FW1.8 over FW1.5:
1. Added USB DAC function (DAC driver required for windows; driver-free for Mac);
2. Added support for AM2 (medium-power) headphone amplifier module;
3. Increased sound quality of third party apps when playing hi-res music of higher than 44.1kHz sample rate;
4. Increased volume of third party apps;
5. Increased bluetooth volume;
6. Fixed some UI display issues.

The following changes and improvements were made to the FiiO Music music player app:
1. Added DLNA function;
2. Fixed issue where albums under the Artists listing could not be opened for browsing;
3. Fixed issue where a library scan may fail on occasion;
4. «Prev track» button now goes back to beginning to present track if it has been playing for more than 10s;
5. Fixed issue where the app registers as «not responding» while scanning the X7 for media; added «scanning» notification to UI;
6. Whole-album music files are now hidden when they are split by a CUE sheet (the split tracks are shown);
7. Volume can now be adjusted by sliding finger up and down the screen after volume interface is shown by pressing volume buttons;
8. Fixed issue where adjusting lyrics’ position offset on one song affected offset on all songs;
9. Fixed issue where Bluetooth devices could not control play and pause actions;
10. Fixed issue where the song listings do not update after an automatic media library update;
11. Fixed issue where Next and Prev track do not take effect after adjusting an EQ setting;
12. Playback position within Favorites can now also be memorized on exiting.

New features:
1. Added new SPFID Out function for DSD digital output. User can now specify DoP (DSD over PCM) or D2P (DSD to PCM) as digital output format when DSD file is played. For example, when connect N6 to a DAC that support DoP such as Cayin iDAC-6, we can opt to use DoP SPDIF Out format.
2. Added new user-defined Playlist function
3. Support M3U playlist created externally. If user has saved a M3U in the internal storage or a TF card, he/she can select the playlist through Music library Menu. Click Confirm button to explore and play the list as described previously.

Firmware upgrade procedure:
1. For safety reason, please make sure the player has sufficient battery power before. Please confirm the N6 player has not less than 50% battery power beforehand, otherwise please charge up the player before you proceed to firmware upgrade.
2. You can download the latest firmware from the Cayin website (http://en.cayin.cn/news.asp?keys=222).Decompress and copy the new N6 firmware file (n6.fw) into the root directory of a TF card (FAT32 formatted).
3. Switch off the player, insert the TF card into the TF slot 1 of the player
4. Hold Up button and Power button at the same time until the player find the firmware file and go into firmware upgrade mode. A time elapse bar will display to show the progress of the upgrade process.
5. Player will reboot at the end of the firmware upgrade. You can verify the current firmware version number by selecting System Setting menu, under “About the Player” option, check out the “Firmware Version” detail.

These are instructions on how to install FiiO USB Driver on Windows Computer (this method can be used on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows 10).

Requirements: You need to have the Windows Computer and the FiiO Driver to follow the below guidelines.

Install FiiO USB Driver on Windows Computer

Download and extract the driver package on the Computer. If in case, you have already downloaded and extracted the driver package, then SKIP this step.

Once the driver package is extracted on the computer, you will be able to see the following files:

Open Device Manager on the Computer. Press Win + R key from the keyboard and type devmgmt.msc and Click on OK Button:

a. Once the Device Manager is Launched, Click on the Computer Name (name can vary from the image below):

b. Click on the Action Menu and Select Add Legacy Hardware option:

Under Add hardware Dialog Box, Click on the Next Button:

Tick on the Install the hardware that I manually select from a list checkbox and Click on the Next Button:

a. Click on the Next Button:

b. Then Click on the Have Disk Button:

Click on the Browse Button:

a. Locate the .inf file from the computer (this file can be found in the extracted driver folder).

b. Click on the OK Button:

c. Click on the Next Button (you can manually select the model number of your FiiO device in this step):

d. Again Click on the Next button:

Click on the Finish button to complete the installation process (ignore Code 10; it will be gone post restarting the computer).

Restart the Computer.

Once the Computer is restarted, you can easily connect your FiiO devices to the computer without facing any issue.

How to use the X3II, X5II, X5 or X3 as a USB DAC on a Windows computer (or all 4 at the same time)?

1. Download the latest USB DAC driver(v 3.34.0) for all X players for windows:

Note: this new DAC driver will not compatible with the X3II which is running FW1.4 or previous version firmware. That is to say, it is suggested to update the X3II to the latest firmware FW2.0(click here) firstly.

2. Update Windows 7 for accepting SHA256 certificates

Our driver package is signed with a SHA256 certificate. Windows 8 and 10 accept this SHA256 certificate by default.

Windows 7 only accepts SHA1 certificates by default. But SHA1 certificates are deprecated and shouldn’t be used anymore. You also don’t get new SHA1 certificates from the certificate providers.

Please update your Windows 7 systems and try again installing the driver.

3. On your X player, go to System Settings->USB mode and change the mode to DAC. Then connect it with a USB port on the computer using our provided USB cable (for desktop computers, it is recommended to connect to a port on the back of the computer directly connected to the motherboard. The X player is compatible with both USB 2 and USB 3 ports.)

4. After unzipping the drivers downloaded in step 1, install the drivers following the steps shown here:

(note: you would need to uninstall any previous versions of drivers first.)

5. How to use more than one X player as DAC with the same computer?

After running the driver installation for the first time, the computer will support using whichever X player was connected during installation as DAC. To support other X players you may own for use as DAC at the same time, simply connect the other player(s) to the computer by the micro USB cable, then it will automatically complete the installation.

You can go access to «Hareware and sound» -> «Sound» on the Control Panel, and check whehter the X players is recognized by the computer successfully.

(The first person to post a picture of the X3 1st gen, 2nd gen and the X5 all connected to the same computer and running as DAC may win a prize??

Наш пакет драйвера подписан с сертификатом SHA256. Windows 8 и 10 принимают этот сертификат SHA256 по умолчанию.

Windows 7 принимает только сертификаты SHA1 по умолчанию. Но сертификаты SHA1 устарели и не должны больше использоваться. Вы также не получите новые SHA1 сертификаты от поставщиков сертификатов.

Пожалуйста, обновите ваши системы Windows 7 и повторите попытку установки драйвера.

3. На X-плеер, перейдите к System Settings-> Режим USB и измените режим на ЦАП. После этого соедините его с USB-портом компьютера с помощью нашего условии USB кабель (для настольных компьютеров, рекомендуется подключить к порту на задней панели компьютера, подключенного напрямую к материнской плате. Х-плеер совместим с USB 2 и USB 3 порта.)

4. После распаковки драйверов, загруженных на шаге 1, установите драйверы следующие этапы, показанные здесь:

(Примечание: вам нужно будет удалить все предыдущие версии драйверов в первую очередь.)

5. Как использовать более одного X плеера в качестве ЦАП с одного компьютера?

После запуска установки драйвера в первый раз, то компьютер будет поддерживать с помощью какой бы X игрок был подключен во время установки в качестве ЦАП. Для поддержки других игроков X вы можете самостоятельно для использования в качестве ЦАП в то же время, достаточно просто подключить другого игрока (ов) к компьютеру с помощью кабеля микро-USB, то он будет автоматически завершит установку.

Вы можете пойти доступ к «Hareware и звук» -> «Звук» на панели управления, и проверьте whehter Х игроков распознается компьютером успешно.

(Первый человек , чтобы получить возможность отправлять картину X3 1 — го поколения, 2 — го поколения и X5 все подключены к одному компьютеру и работает как ЦАП может выиграть приз ?? )
