The Taiwanese company MSI has released a new video card N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GB, built on the basis of the reference PCB GeForce GTX 680 with double buffer memory GDDR5 and cooling system Twin Frozr III. Is flashing FT5406 touch controller firmware possible?

Today I had a problem with my tablet Onda Vi40 Elite v3 9.7″ 1024×768.
I wanted to update it to the last official firmware (http://file2.mydrivers.com/ondata/download/driver/oamp3/Vi40/Vi40J-V1_v1.4rc3.rar), and accidently I flashed a firmware I was analyzing from KNC-902 that has almost the same specs (http://pan.baidu.com/netdisk/singlepublic?fid=924378_480365957) using LiveSuite 1.07.

The firmware flashed ok, but my touch was not working (it was normal, because it wasn’t the same hardware).
So I took the correct firmware from Onda and flashed it to my tablet. The problem now is that the touch keeps not working!
I have looked around on internet, and found maybe a similar behavior on Ainol Fire tablet, where the firmware update also flashed a new touch IC firmware.

I already have opened my tablet and found the touch IC controller (FT5406EE8) and I think firmware for it to (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28451445&postcount=22).

My question is: how can I know what is the right firmware for my touch IC controller (I have seen more than one for 1024×768) and how can I flash this firmware again to my touch IC controller?

I have a similar problem with my tablet as well. A rom flashed the IC controller and the stock one won’t fix it back. Anyway, I have a vague idea on how to fix your problem but i need the firmware you accidentally flashed since its able to flash controllers. (not all firmwares do that)

A rom that can flash the IC touch controller does not fix my problem. I have seen this tutorial http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?1545-How-to-fix-a-A10-AllWinner-ft5X-touch-screen! and managed to change my stock rom with the necessary changes to flash the IC touch controller but without luck.

This is what I get from dmesg when it tries to flash it with a modded ft5x_ts.ko (force blind update).
You can see that at STEP 3 it does not recognize the ID’s (maybe because it is empty) and after blind update the ECC check at STEP 6 is wrong.

Добрый день! На даче стоит контроллер от ab-log.ru МегаД, чудесная штука, локально в пределах.

Voland_, проблема в том, что я очень плохо знаю английский и это создает определенные трудности.
Код я видел, но не совсем понял, как им пользоваться.
Да и с регистрами я до конца не разобрался.
Как я понимаю, все регистры делятся на 2 группы:
1. Регистры, которые можно только читать.
2. Регистры, которые можно читать и писать.
Назначение некоторых регистров я понял, но большинство, так и остались тайной.
Допустим, есть регистр «ID_G_ STATE», у которого есть параметр «auto calibration».
Правильно ли понимаю, что задав этот параметр калибровка будет происходить автоматически?

Что касается примеров, так мне не понятно, какие данные нужно передавать в эти функции.
К примеру, если мне нужно получить координаты касания, то что мне нужно передать и что вернется.
Ровно не разобраться и с тем, как писать в нужный регистр.

Voland_, поправьте если я ошибаюсь.
Возьмем для примера само подключение:
Slave Addr, это 3 бита устройства (0b011) и 3 бита режима (000, 100 или 001)
RW, это один бит, который определяет, что будем делать с устройством (читать из него или писать)
Далее, ожидаем ответ от устройства (ACK или NACK)
Если прилетает ACK, то опять отсылаем команду на подключение, но указываем адрес 0x03, по которому хранятся данные о количестве строк.
Опять проверяем, что прилетело в ответ и если это ACK, то начинаем читать данные.

Да, и еще такое дело.
У ардуино, библиотека Wire работает с 7 битной адресацией.
Получается, что нужно сдвигать на 1 вправо..
