    Открывайте данные файлы на в штатном плеере, а используйте Media Player Classic

  • На форумах где-то читал, что такое бывает из-за неправильно собранного контейнера mkv.

  • В случае неправильной сборки проблема настороне того, кто этот контейнер собирал. Можете попробовать перекодировать файл.

Windows Media Player cannot skip forward

Windows Media Player happens to be an excellent multimedia player, but many users reported that Windows Media Player cannot skip forward. This can be a big issue for some users, so today we’re going to show you how to fix it.

1. Run Windows Media Player Settings trouble-shooter

  1. Launch the Run Window.
  2. This can be done by pressing the Windows and R button simultaneously.
  3. Alternately, you can also simply type Run in the Cortana search box and selecting the Run App from the search result shown.
  4. In the Run dialog box, type msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerConfigurationDiagnostic and press Enter.
  5. On the WMP troubleshooter window, click on Next for the process to begin.

  6. Follow on-screen instructions.

2. Run Windows Media Player Library trouble-shooter

  1. Launch the Run app as before.
  2. Type msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerLibraryDiagnostic and press Enter.
  3. Click on Next for the troubleshooting process to begin.

  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

3. Register DLL files

  1. Launch Command Prompt windows. You can do that by typing Command Prompt or just cmd in the Cortana Search box and pressing Enter. Select the app from the search result.

  2. In the Command Prompt window, type each of the command listed below followed by pressing Enter.
    • regsvr32 ntdll.dll /s
    • regsvr32 msdxm.ocx /s
    • regsvr32 dxmasf.dll /s
    • regsvr32 wmp.dll /s
    • regsvr32 wmpdxm.dll  /s
  3. After you are done, close the Command Prompt by typing Exit and pressing Enter. Or you can simply click the Close button at the top right corner.
  4. Re-start the PC.

4. Long-press on the forward button

  1. The Forward button, the one on the right of the central Play button is, in reality, a dual purpose button which when clicked will load the next song or video in the playlist.
    Press and hold on the Next button if windows media player cannot skip forward
  2. To fast-forward, press and hold on to the button for at least 15 seconds for the forward action to take place.

This should be all that you need to do to if Windows Media Player cannot skip forward.

Удали обновления на ВМП, делов то.

Пуск — компьютер — программы и компоненты — просмотр установленных обновлений. После этого, по сути, она должна откатить версию на предыдущую.

А далее: Службы — Центр Обновления Windows — Тип Запуска — Отключена.

KROBOCICb, Я ничего не советую, сразу говорю.

У меня, например, не стоит не единого обновления с момента инстала винды (а скоро уже 2 года), всё работает как часы.
По сути, ничего не случится от удаления всех пакетов.

Дальше уже решать вам.

+ мне пришло только 11 обновлений во вторник (вчера ничего не было)
Отсортируйте устновленные обновы по дате, и удаляйте последние. На систему не повлияет (но лучше воспользоваться точкой восстановления)

Потом можно ставить вручную по одному, таким образом вычислить проблемное и заблокировать его.

Вероятно, есть веская причина для этого, но потоковая передача WMP из папки FTP отключает некоторые функции в wmp. Вероятно, это связано с неизвестным размером файла и т.д. Но может ли быть способ избежать этого? Я думал о какой-то форме локального кэша файлов. Но для этого потребуется первый раз, чтобы завершить воспроизведение для чтения кеша. Может ли быть способ ускорения воспроизведения в первый раз?

Можно возобновить (перезапустить) из другой точки, отправив запрос FTP REST для другой начальной позиции в файле, поэтому ускоренная перемотка должна работать. Мои лучшие догадки:

  • В используемой вами версии проигрывателя Windows Media не реализовано использование REST на FTP.
  • Сервер, с которого вы загружаете, не имеет REST. Серверы не обязаны это реализовывать.

Для получения дополнительной информации о REST, см. RFC 959.

Я предполагаю, что нет, FTP — довольно простой протокол. Может быть возможно начать загрузку файла через FTP и во время загрузки начать воспроизведение в Window Media Player. Посмотрите, работает ли это так.
