Freeware

Freeware programs can be downloaded used free of charge and without any time limitations. Freeware products can be used free of charge for both personal and professional (commercial use).

Open Source

Open Source software is software with source code that anyone can inspect, modify or enhance. Programs released under this license can be used at no cost for both personal and commercial purposes. There are many different open source licenses but they all must comply with the Open Source Definition — in brief: the software can be freely used, modified and shared.

Free to Play

This license is commonly used for video games and it allows users to download and play the game for free. Basically, a product is offered Free to Play (Freemium) and the user can decide if he wants to pay the money (Premium) for additional features, services, virtual or physical goods that expand the functionality of the game. In some cases, ads may be show to the users.

Demo

Demo programs have a limited functionality for free, but charge for an advanced set of features or for the removal of advertisements from the program’s interfaces. In some cases, all the functionality is disabled until the license is purchased. Demos are usually not time-limited (like Trial software) but the functionality is limited.

Trial

Trial software allows the user to evaluate the software for a limited amount of time. After that trial period (usually 15 to 90 days) the user can decide whether to buy the software or not. Even though, most trial software products are only time-limited some also have feature limitations.

Paid

Usually commercial software or games are produced for sale or to serve a commercial purpose.

AMD Radeon Software (ранее AMD Catalyst Control Center) — это приложение для установки драйверов от компонентов AMD и тонкой настройки одноименных видеокарт и процессоров. Утилита позволяет отрегулировать производительность системы и обновлять драйверы для графического оборудования; интерфейс доступен на русском языке.

В левой части окна программы находится меню для доступа ко всем основным функциям. Все органы управления сгруппированы по категориям. Для удобства над левым столбцом находится поле поиска.

Параметры самой программы настраиваются в выпадающем меню, открывающемся при нажатии на соответствующую кнопку. Доступно изменение языка, включение отображения «поверх всех окон», а также сброс настроек и интеграция в контекстное меню рабочего стола. Кроме того, можно сбросить параметры утилиты, если наблюдаются проблемы, и попасть на сайт AMD Catalyst для получения подробностей. Большая часть окна отведена под отображение органов управления и подсказок к ним.

• Performance drop may be experienced while playing Fortnite with Multithreaded Rendering and DirectX 11 API on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6900 XT Graphics.
• GPU utilization may be stuck at 100% in Radeon performance metrics after closing games on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon 570.
• Display may flicker black during video playback plus gameplay on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6700 XT.
• Using Radeon Super Resolution on 2560×1600 resolution displays may produce a system hang. A temporary workaround is to set the display Scaling Mode to Full Panel.
• Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
• Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

Fixed Issues

Known Issues

• Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
• Connecting two displays with large differences in resolution/refresh rates may cause flickering on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.
• Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.
• Cyberpunk 2077 may experience shadow corruption on Radeon RX 6000 series graphics when ray tracing is enabled.
• Disco Elysium may experience texture flickering on trees with Radeon RX 6000 series graphics products.
• Radeon Software may experience a crash when Record & Stream tab is in use and a display is hot plugged.
• Radeon FreeSync may intermittently become locked while on desktop after performing task switching between extended and primary displays upon closing a game, causing poor performance or stuttering. A system restart is a potential workaround if this is experienced.
• Performance metrics may incorrectly report temperatures on Ryzen 5 1600 series processors.
• The download or launch Ryzen Master buttons in Radeon Software may intermittently disappear or may fail to initialize Ryzen Master.
• If Ryzen Master is not detected in Adrenalin software after installation, a system restart maybe required.

AMD Link for Windows Known Issues

• AMD is investigating isolated reports of intermittent loss of signal during Stream Optimization if HEVC is used on Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products or later. A workaround is to use the AVC encoding setting instead.
• Intermittent grey frame corruption might be observed when streaming with HEVC on certain configurations via an Internet connection. A workaround is to use the AVC encoding setting instead.
