I am trying to get Windows 10 auto rotation to work for our custom tablet, however it seems like Windows doesn’t recognize the sensor or attempt to read it.
I ran the ‘SensorInfo’ app from the app store which correctly reads the Simple Device Orientation and I can see it break in the code. However, Windows does not read the orientation and it never breaks in the code.
Am I missing a required setup or command to let windows see the sensor as the actual device orientation so that Windows can auto rotate? Maybe I need an accelerometer sensor and the SDO is not enough?
I added ‘DEVPKEY_Sensor_ConnectionType’ and set it to 0 or ‘SENSOR_CONNECTION_TYPE_PC_INTEGRATED’ and I set ‘DEVPKEY_Sensor_IsPrimary’ to true. The app reads the sensor just fine, but Windows never reads it. Also the key hkey_local_machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/autorotation
‘SensorPresent’ is not found in the registry. Why would this key not be there?Thanks!
