Open the app and log in

Невозможно дождаться подключения… более 30 минут ждёшь. А если подключится, то постоянно срывается. Одна нервотрёпка с бесплатной версией. Возможно платная будет работать стабильнее, но зачем писать «бесплатная», продавали бы сразу за деньги и не морочили людям голову. Удаляю!!!

О программе
Данный сервис имеет ряд особенностей, по сравнению с другими аналогами. Например, он интегрируется с сетью Tor, использует особые алгоритмы для обеспечения конфиденциальности, а также хранит все данные в Швейцарии, поскольку в этой стране самые строгие законы о приватности на сегодняшний день.
Клиент ProtonVPN для Windows имеет современный интерфейс в темных тонах, разработанный специально для Windows 10. В правой части окна расположен список серверов, раскиданных по всему земному шару, и наглядная карта. Есть также компактный режим окна, в котором вы можете быстрое подключаться/отключаться, не отвлекаясь от работы.
Подключая к любому из доступных серверов вы тем самым перенаправляете свой трафик, что обеспечивает более высокий уровень защиты, позволяет сменить вирутальное местоположение и обойти региональные и другие виды ограничений.
Приложение работает по подписке, доступно несколько тарифных планов на выбор.
ProtonVPN — VPN-клиент для компьютеров под управлением Windows 7, 8, 8.1 и 10 (32/64 бит). Это один из немногих VPN-клиентов, которым можно пользоваться бесплатно без ограничений по трафику (однако имеются ограничения по скорости передачи данных, количеству доступных серверов для подключения и некоторому функционалу). Интерфейс программы имеет перевод на русский язык.
Основная причина возможности использования клиента ProtonVPN заключается в том, что он базируется на свободно распространяемом программном обеспечении и сетевых протоколах OpenVPN. Настройка последнего сложна для простых пользователей, т.к. требует понимания функционирования технологии виртуальных частных сетей. Разработчики клиента ProtonVPN решили эту задачу за нас, внедрив в свой продукт все необходимые файлы конфигурации для работы OpenVPN.
Конечно, ProtonVPN имеет свои собственные особенности и функции. Основной упор разработчики сделали на анонимность и безопасность пользователей при работе в интернете (как при посещении сайтов, так и при использовании любых онлайн-приложений):
- Шифрование трафика осуществляется при помощи одного из самых надежных на данный момент алгоритмов AES-256.
- Передача данных происходит с использованием технологии обмена 4096-битными RSA-ключами, генерируемыми при каждом новом подключении пользователя к VPN-сети. Это означает, что даже при перехвате трафика третьими лицами им потребуется не только взломать шифр AES-256, но и подобрать RSA-ключ.
- Также в сетях ProtonVPN предусмотрены средства защиты данных от изменения (попыток их скомпрометировать третьими лицами). Для этого задействован механизм аутентификации HMAC с алгоритмом хеширования SHA384, в задачу которого входит проверка их целостности данных с целью установки факта невмешательства третьими лицами. Т.е. если трафик будет скомпрометирован, система безопасности ProtonVPN моментально определит это.
- В отличие от множества аналогичных программ, для передачи данных в сетях ProtonVPN задействуются наиболее безопасные сетевые протоколы обмена данными — IKEv2/IPSec и, собственно, OpenVPN. По словам разработчиков, серверы ProtonVPN не используют наборы протоколов безопасности PPTP и L2TP/IPSec, которые, по их мнению, менее безопасны.
- Ко всему прочему, физические накопители (диски) на серверах ProtonVPN также защищены шифрованием. Это обеспечивает защиту самой системы от взлома и попыток внедрить в нее вредоносное/шпионское ПО, что дало бы возможность злоумышленникам перехватывать весь передаваемый через серверы ProtonVPN трафик.
- И последний момент. На серверах ProtonVPN не хранятся журналы подключений пользователей к тем или иным сайтам и вообще любым сетевым адресам. Т.е. даже если к этим серверам кто-либо подберется физически, никакой ценной информации о пользователях VPN-сети он не получит. По крайней мере, так заявляют разработчики.
А вот некоторые функции и особенности, присущие уже самой программе ProtonVPN:
- Наличие механизма «Kill Switch», блокирующего весь входящий/исходящий сетевой трафик при потере связи с VPN-сервером. Его основная задача — предотвращение попыток компьютера/операционной системы выйти в сеть при использовании незащищенного (штатного) интернет-соединения.
- Функция защиты от утечки DNS. По умолчанию сетевые подключения на компьютере используют DNS-серверы, выдаваемые провайдером. При использовании ProtonVPN все DNS-запросы будут проходить через независимых DNS-поставщиков. При необходимости пользователь может задать и свои DNS-серервы, но это не рекомендуется.
- Функция раздельного туннелирования позволяет пользователю выбирать, какие приложения должны работать через VPN-сеть, а какие — через штатное незащищенное соединение. Также возможно создание списка IP-адресов, обращение к которым будет осуществляться через VPN. Данная функция не работает вместе с механизмом «Kill Switch».
- Возможность создания множества профилей с настройками для подключения к VPN-сети.
Среди функций, доступных только для платных пользователей, отметим:
- «Secure Core». Функция, обеспечивающая дополнительную защиту данных от перехвата путем их передачи через несколько серверов ProtonVPN перед тем, как они дойдут до конечной точки. Причем серверы выбираются случайным образом. Самые ухищренные злоумышленники не смогут отследить настоящий источника трафика, даже если им удастся его перехватить на выходе из последнего сервера.
- «NetShield». Функция, созданная специально для серфинга в интернете. Она обеспечивает фильтрацию DNS-запросов, блокируя рекламу, фишинговые сайты, сайты с вредоносным ПО, а также — предотвращая отслеживание сайтами действий пользователя.
- Подключение через анонимные сети Tor с возможностью последующего открытия Onion-сайтов, т.е. тех, что находятся в темном сегменте интернета (потребуется дополнительная настройка браузера).
Все новые пользователи могут пользоваться платным функционалом в пробном режиме в течение 7 дней.
