Для работы тем в windows 7 потребуется установка патча Universal Theme Patcher.

Данный небольшой патч предназначен для установки новых стилей и тем для Windows 7.
Для установки данной программы выполним следующее:

  Шаг 1. Запустим программу от имени администратора (в комплекте находятся как для x86, так и для x64 битной версии вашей системы).

Шаг 2. Нажмем кнопку «OK» для подтверждения выбранного языка.

Шаг 3. Далее снова нажмем кнопку «Да» для подтверждения.

Шаг 4. После чего откроется окно, в котором в данном случае нужно пропатчить 3 файла. Для этого напротив каждого файла нажмем «Patch». После каждого действия вам сообщат об успешной операции.

Шаг 5. После того как вы измените все файлы, вам будет предложено перезагрузить компьютер. Нажмите «Да» для перезагрузки.

Шаг 6. Далее вам необходимо скопировать содержимое темы в папку C:/Windows/Resources/Themes.

Шаг 7. В разделе «Персонализация» («Пуск» – «Панель Управления» — «Персонализация») вы увидите свежеустановленную тему.

Шаг 8. В крайнем случае повторный запуск данного патча позволяет восстановить изменённые файлы. Для этого нужно напротив каждого файла нажать «Restore» и снова перезагрузить компьютер.

mhm I tried the Theme Patch, Patchprogram was started with admin-privilegs.

those three files were patched by sucessful way but I won’t get a theme started.

I use Vista Home Prem. with SP2 beta (build v113)

After patch, You need to restart your computer to take effect.

Btw, some 3-rd theme file are not standardized, and more stringent inspection on Vista SP2, so, these theme will not load.
You can compare the theme file with «Aero.theme», maybe less content.

This one doesnt work on win7 x64 buld 7068, it cant patch themeiu.dll.

it doesn’t work on w7 7600.

This thing screwed up my computer. I ran it and patched the three files, but when I restarted my screen was flickering and couldn’t log in.

Had to system restore.

Its not working on my computer, (windows 7 Build 7600). It patches, but nothing happens when I restart and apply themes. They only look like normal aero themes.

This patcher doesn’t seem to work anymore. I also get a flicker screen at boot after installation (and yes, I didn’t install the x86 version on x86).

I had to go to safe mode and restore the backup versions of the files.

Anyone know of a newer version that works?

Malware designed to bugger up my PC and make my screen flicker? Sign me up. Had to restart in safe mode to repair the damage this causes.

I’m running win 7 rtm x64 ultimate.

I have problem witch transparency of png resources. Png is properly transparent but it shows while spaces where supposed to be transparent.

Seem to be having massive problems using this.

I just did the patch and restarted and now the computer keeps getting to the log in screen, type my password and then it restarts the computer.

after I patch this my microsoft office cannot start and it is not work anymore. How can I use it properly?

Same deal, without the flickering. Windows 7. Patched, restart, I get «no module name, press any key to abort» and it fails to boot.

Something this damaging should be removed until it’s fixed.

I managed to fix it! Lucky me, I was dualbooting windows and linux. I loaded a live cd and ran through a walkthrough on how to fix your master boot record after a windows install. This got GRUB back and working, and my computer’s okay again. (i hope this helps someone else. )

My backed up files.. promise, no stuff inserted corrupted or stuff.

Yup the patcher doesn’t work no more. I have a Windows 7 Ultimate and all it bars me from logging in. The only silver-lining is that the same patcher has a restore feature, so went to safe mode to restore the patched files.

Scared the hell out of me for a minute, got the flickering screen. Went into safe mode, undid the patch. The next time I started, I patched the files RUNNING AS ADMINISTRATOR and everything seems to be working fine. This is on x86. If anyone else is still having this problem, make sure you’re following the instructions correctly, it worked for me.

Running Windows Vista Home Premium and it works like a charm! Had to re-patch a file or two a few times because it said it failed to overwrite but other then that, a charm! 32xBit =]

I was trying to apply a customized theme for Windows 7.

According to Universal theme patcher, I patched the three files.

Then I had to restart my computer, and now that I did, It doesn’t even log on to windows. Right before the system asks to log on to a profile, it says «please wait», but it never moves forward, the screen keeps turning on and off and says please wait but nothing ever happens. I don’t know where to start to solve this problem, I could really use some HELP.

Those ho have problems login in. just restart in safe mode and run the patcher again, this time RESTORE files.

i tried that patch with ‘run as administrator’, i also get a flicker screen at ‘Please wait’, you can use system restore to restore back before you patch this thing or run windows in safe mode (if you dont have a restore point), go back and open the patcher and restore

Very hesitant to run this Theme Patch thing when my brand-new install of Win7 32-bit is build 7601, higher than what is listed.

I had previously patched XP with MultiPatcher 4 (SP2), but after I updated to SP3 and later ran sfc scannow, I lost my custom theme. Now it is back! Thank you very much!

Universal Theme Patcher for Windows 10 — Full description

This is a portable application, which means Universal Theme Patcher doesn’t require installation, and also will run from a USB drive. When you run the EXE file, it will first tell you whether you need to apply patches to your system, then a further window opens with three areas, each with Patch and Restore buttons.

The meaning of the last number of checksum:
1 — Original file, without any modification.
9 — The file has been modified.

Notes:
1, Can operate in normal mode. Do not need to enter safe mode.

2, Choose the corresponding patcher based on you Windows:
For 32bit(x86): UniversalThemePatcher-x86.exe
For 64bit(amd64): UniversalThemePatcher-x64.exe

3, Require administrator rights, UAC turn off. Right-click the exe file, select Run as Administrator.

4, XP/2003 only need to patch one file: uxtheme.dll
2008/Vista/Windows 7 6519 need to patch 3 files: uxtheme.dll, themeui.dll, shsvcs.dll
Windows 7 6801 need to patch 3 files: uxtheme.dll, themeui.dll, themeservice.dll

Sometimes, in x64 Windows, you need to patch 2 copies of files:
using UniversalThemePatcher-x64.exe to patch the 64bit files in windowssystem32;
and using UniversalThemePatcher-x86.exe to patch the 32bit files in windowssyswow64.

5, After patch, Restart computer to take effect.

6, You can run program with argument «-silent» to patch in silent mode.
