   Supremefx II Drivers download?
   

   Hi all, just got hold of a ROG SupremeFX II sound card, does anyone know where i can grab the drivers? windows has disabled all my sound on installation, and i cant seem to find them online

   Hi Unreal Avenger, I know this thread is about a month old know and you’ve probably already sorted it out, buuuut…

   The Sound Card is only meant to be used on motherboards that already have the supremefx II installed, as in when you buy the motherboard the card came with it.
   If you have any motherboard apart from the the ones listed below then you’ll not be able to use it,

   Blitz Extreme, Blitz Formula (Special Edition), Crosshair II Formula, Maximus Extreme, Maximus Formula, Maximus Formula (Special Edition), P5E,P5E Deluxe, P5N72-T Premium, Rampage Formula, Striker II Formula, Striker II NSE

   If you have a compatible motherboard, go to your motherboards page and download the Audio drivers labeled «SoundMAX»
   Sorry if you’ve payed like �20 and you cant use it :S

Windows 10 audio not working with Supreme FX II audio card

I’ve installed Windows 10, all works as expected except the audio.

I use a sound card integrated in motherboard which is Asus P5E which is a SupremeFX II.

How can I try to resolve the problem? I’ve found other posts but I’ve seen that the solving answer is related to a specific sound card and for this video card I have not found a post with a solving answer for this audio card.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it fixes the issue.

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

1. Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
2. Select Troubleshooting.
3. Select View all on the top left corner.
4. Click Hardware and Devices.
5. Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Sound driver

I suggest you to try uninstall the Sound drivers check if it works for you.

Follow the steps to uninstall the Sound drivers:

1. Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
2. Expand ‘Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
3. Right-click on the Audio devices listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
4. Select the option to Delete driver software.
5. Restart the computer after its uninstalled.

Try to access the device manufacturer’s website and download and install the latest chipset and sound drivers.

Realtek Audio Drivers and SupremeFX

ASUS ROG STRIX Z-390-E motherboard with Soundblaster AE-9 soundcard.

The SoundBlaster AE-9 is used over the Realtek. I would disable the onboard sound in the BIOS/UEFI but I want to keep it active so I can install Linux on a second drive. Creative Labs has poor Linux support at best so I will be forced to use the Realtek onboard sound.

What does SupremeFX software do? Do I need it? It is bundled with the ASUS sound drivers, right?

Can I install the Realtek drivers (most updated versions) from the Realtek website rather than the ASUS versions and do without the SupremeFX software?

SupremeFX = Realtek Audio for ROG products, so SupremeFX software = Realtek HD Audio Manager (HDA drivers) = Realtek Audio Control (UAD drivers).

You have an ASUS ROG SS3 motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD — ASUS ROG SS3 MB) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Also, If you are looking to perform a custom install (like minimal, which is such as Microsoft built-in drivers without any SupremeFX/Realtek Audio software), please refer to this post :

— Minimal (such as Microsoft built-in drivers) : Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process > Right click on «AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3_MB_v6.0.xxxx.xRea ltekCodec_xxxx.xHDXASUS.inf» > Install > Wait for the message «The operation completed successfully» or for restart request.

— Realtek Only (like ASUS ROG / TUF / PRIME RTK motherboards but the equalizer in Realtek Audio Control will not work) : Delete the ThirdParty folder from AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3_MB_v6.0.xxxx.x folder then follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process.

— Full : Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process.

A few follow-up questions, comments and clarifications:

So SupremeFX is just the Realtek Audio platform rebranded and modified for ROG Motherboards, right?

The next Realtek Drivers UAD release by you can be updated through the normal vendor update process as opposed to the lengthy tutorial, correct? When do you expect to release the new drivers?

I don’t use the ROG onboard Realtek Audio but a Creative Labs AE-9 soundcard instead. I keep the onboard sound enabled to eventually use in Linux. It is my understanding that Realtek sound is better supported in Linux than Soundblaster. In this context, do your UAD drivers support Linux? Should I opt for the minimal driver install rather than include SupremeFX if I don’t use the Realtek, but just want to keep it active?

SupremeFX Hi-Fi DAC Driver Update (V1.9.114.23) does not install Win 10 (not signed)

When I try to install this driver, it does not work. It shows yellow bung/exclamation mark on the device manager.

Now I cannot use the SupremeFX Hi-Fi.

I tried to reboot safe options and select disable driver signature enforcement and this happens:

ASUS please sign the driver so the buyers of this motherboard can use their SupremeFX HiFi and install properly on Windows 10, because now everyone should be using Windows 10 for security. I will not install Windows 8 or Windows 7 and get my PC hacked because you are not doing the drivers properly.

You sold this motherboard compatible with Windows 10 so please make it work without asking users to hack it. I do not want to disable security settings, please provide a signed driver that works with Win 10 Creators Update.

I am a very unhappy buyer and I won’t buy another ASUS product if you don’t give me what I paid for.

UPDATE 2 AUGUST 2017:

I raised a technical query with ASUS technical support, the employee was really good in forwarding my queries to the upper levels at ASUS and this is what ASUS informed him:

Thank you for your patience throught this process. I’m very sorry to inform you that HQ has stated that WHQL drivers will not be supplied at this time. Unfortunately they would not disclose a reason for it. R&D may develop signed drivers in the future but we cannot make any guarantees of that at this time. I would suggest peridically checking the support page for updated drivers and try each of them.

If you find this makes the board not fit for purpose, we can only recommend returning it to the retailer. I truly apologize for the inconvenience.

ASUS should not delete my post because ASUS should not feel ashamed of their response. If they do not want to support the products that they sell that’s fine. But let the customers beware of their views.

This is unacceptable. Windows 10 requires signed drivers after the Anniversary Update and ASUS clearly does not care. This board is less than 1 year old and one of the major features does not work, ASUS might as well remove the driver completely from the website as it only creates confusion and frustration.

The response above sealed the fate for me, ASUS products = NEVER AGAIN.

I feel it is totally unfair to the retailer who sold this to me in good faith, the retailer does not manufacture and does not provide support, it is ASUS’ responsibility to provide appropriate and fully working drivers to their customers.

ASUS does not care about their customers. The response above saying that they «may» provide signed drivers is a way to cover their back, in fact they will never bother to provide anything at all, in their eyes this product is now unsupported/end of life.

Absolutely disgusting attitude from this company who lost my custom forever.

Another problem with RVE10 after the WI Fi engine. Supreme FX is not working. I saw another post from this problem I reinstall drivers I install new nothing at all!!
I use back panel from my headphones.
If it possible another driver can fix the problem?

Welcome to the club. We’re waiting a fix for months, so please sit down. ASUS is ignoring us completely (well, sometimes deleting our posts if you get so angry) but there is nothing you can do. Bad luck choosing this MB. No working drivers and at this point I’m starting to think the unit could be defective (all of them, or almost all of them) as I don’t see any other explanation.

Is the bluetooth module working to you?

Check cables for SupremeFX and make sure you get this driver for SupremeFX http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mis. 715.1477933689

Depending on your headset’s impedance, sometimes it takes a few turns to start hearing anything.

I dont test the microphone of my headsets. it work very low noise to the teamspeak and WOT game. must ‘eat’ the phone to speak to others!

Yea like others I have been reading about I have been having issues with this board as well. Without going into the weeks long nightmare i had just getting stability out of optimized defaults with the rve10 it apears that the driver for the front audio is severely broken. After dancing on one foot in the light of a full moon with the wind blowing just right i was able to get the device to be recognized and not cause a crash or 3 minute delay on booting windows 10. Overjoyed at the hard fought victory i plugged in my headphones only to be greeted with some horrible distortion no matter what settings i chose. I could almost get clear audio with the volume supreme fx volume slider at 25% but i could barely hear anything. Then i tried the on board basic sound and it worked right off the bat without any issue. I cant help but wonder if asus either lost good talent on the dev team and they simply do not have the basic level of competence required to support their products. The person who should be overseeing this fail team of devs really should be terminated for gross dereliction of duty. As a developer I understand very well how this works, they put someone who has no understanding of coding in charge of coders and new hires. Asus, I am very disappointed.

Where can I find SupremeFX software

I am looking after the «Supremefx» (Senseamp) software. I am 100% sure I had it when I first installed my computer, but for some reason I can’t find it anymore, and it doesn’t pop anymore when I plug some headphones in with jack.

I have reinstalled the audio drivers but the software wasn’t there even after that install.

As usual, posting on this forum requesting for help was 200% useless.

For those who may be encouter the same issue and would be interested to know how to solve this, the problem was that a software disabled most of my background-running apps to free memory in order to boost performances, this included the SupremeFX (SenseAmp) software. I just had to restart it manually in the process tab, and disable the other software which would prevent it from running.

For what it’s worth, I believe going to your mobo downloads page and then downloading/installing the latest Realtek audio driver will give you what you were looking for. Looks like the latest one is from June 7, 2017.
