Можно ли подключить 2 устройства к AS одновременно?

Нет,одновременно с AS работает только одно устройство

При подключении по usb подключение происходит, но потом пишет: не удается провести синхронизацию.Повторно подключите устр-во. Причем все подключено, можно в проводник залесть, перекачивать файлы с ББ спокойно, а вот синхронизация и интернет не работают

Попробовать можно следующее:
1. Удалить партнерство в AS и потом создать заново.
2. Переустановка AS с полным удалением соответствующей папки в Program Files.
3. Переустановка MS Outlook.

Как удалить партнерство в AS?

После переустановки cистемы (Винда ХР), кпк перестал выходить в интернет через синхронизацию,не могу просмотривать страницы и пользоватьс аськой через кпк. до этого все работало.

в параметре SyncAfterTimeWhenCradled изменить значение 5 на 0 (DWORD decimal)

При синхронизации время также синхронизируется. На ПК установите правильные часовой пояс и время в настройках часов.

если через USB у меня не хочет определять КПК, т.е. дрова не ставит(( будет ли такая ситуация при подключении блютуз?Или для сначало нужно синхронизировать по usb

Нет, не обязательно совершенно соединять по УСБ.
Надо сперва спарить по БТ, причем спаривание запускать с КПК, там же после опроса доступных служб на ПК поставить галочку на службе ActiveSync (не смотря на то, что стоит Виста). После этого зайти в AS на КПК и запустить синхронизацию по БТ.

Скажите можно ли при синхронизации через AS или WMDC с ББ,одновременно выходить в инет через кпк по при помощи «Общего интернета»

Одновременно это сделать не получится,нужно выбирать либо то,либо другое

У меня при подключении к компу видит только флешку, а сам телефон не видит, ну и соответственно WMDC его тоже не определяет. Хотя с интернетом как через кабель, так и через bluetooth проблем нет

В настройках аппарата переключите выход USB в режим ActiveSync,скорее всего сейчас включе режим Mass Storage(кардридер).

В меню подключения к ПК есть три пункта: AS, Встроенная память и Общий интернет. Так вот, чтобы wdmc увидел кпк и подключился, необходимо в пункте AS снять отметку в чекбоксе «Включить быструю синхронизацию данных».

I am developing an (.NET Compact 3.5) application for a Windows CE 6 device. Up to the moment I have written and tested a socket server application that is connected from a client program running in the attached PC. When the test is made over the regular Ethernet LAN, it works ok, but I really need that the application can talk across the USB cable. I read that is possible to stablish a TCP/IP communication over ActiveSync.

I found that when an ActiveSync connection is made, you can check the device address (Under properties of «USB CABLE» connection you will see the IP 192.168.55.101). Unfortunately I can’t ping this address from the PC neither establish a TCP connection.

By googling I found that the capabilities to use ActiveSync as an actuall network connection depends whether Remote NDIS is enabled in the device. I searched for this feature in the BSP catalog, checked it and generated the new Image, as shown in the image:

But the new image didn’t make any change. I can’t ping the ActiveSync’s IP in the device, neither a Virtual network Adapter is shown in my Vista laptop.

It would be very helpful if somebody can tell me what should I add to the Windows CE image or what I am not doing well in order to make the PC and the device can create an IP connection over ActiveSync.

Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center replaces ActiveSync for Windows Vista.

Windows Mobile Device Center offers device management and data synchronization between a Windows Mobile-based device and a computer.

For Windows XP or earlier operating systems, you must use Microsoft ActiveSync.

How to use Windows Mobile Device Center

Download and install Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 if you run Windows Vista on your computer and you want to sync content between your mobile phone and your computer. Windows Mobile Device Center is compatible only with Windows Vista.

If you run Windows XP or an earlier version of Windows, you have to download Microsoft ActiveSync.

You can use Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 only with phones that run Windows Mobile 2003 or a later version. ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center do not work with Windows Embedded CE 4.2 or 5.0, Pocket PC 2002, or Smartphone 2002 devices.

To determine which Windows Mobile operating system you’re using if your phone doesn’t have a touch screen, click Start, click Settings, and then click About.

If your phone has a touch screen, tap Start, tap the System tab, and then tap About. To sync content to any of these devices, you must use a USB or serial cable, your computer’s Internet connection, and File Explorer.

Device will not connect

The driver installation may not have completed successfully. If you think this may be the case, follow these steps:

Device is disconnected when syncing large files

If you have problems syncing music, pictures, or other large files in which the connection suddenly closes, there may be an issue with a serial driver that is installed on the device. Unless you are using a VPN server or a firewall that is blocking your large files from synchronization, you may try switching your device into RNDIS mode to fix your large file sync problem. If your device has a USB to PC option, you might use this workaround:

On the device, go to Settings and then Connections. Look for a USB to PC option.

To enable RNDIS USB, select the Enable advanced network functionality check box in the USB to PC options, and then tap OK.

If this option is already selected, do not clear this selection or this workaround will not work.

Warm-boot the device. To do this, hold down the power button and then press the reset button, or remove the battery.

Turn on the device.

When the device is restarted, dock the device and try again.

RNDIS takes a little while to connect. Please be patient and wait for the device to connect.

If, after you follow the previous steps, you cannot connect at all, just switch back to serial USB to sync.

The computer is running on Win XP pro with SP2. I have no personal firewall. I´m using Active Sync 4.2.

What am I doing wrong? Am I missing anything? Do I need to download any drivers?

I should also add that it works fine on my other computer. Plug and play!

I’m having the same issue after upgrading from Windows 2000 SP4 to Windows XP SP2.

I keep reinstalling ActiveSync 4.2, but when I plug in my Pocket PC into my USB port, I get an «Cannot Install this hardware» error message. The message box also says «The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name».

I’ve uninstalled & installed ActiveSync 4.2 about 20 times now. I’m going to go run regedit and see if I can figured out what got left-over in the registry that’s messing with getting ActiveSync working again.

Please help, and show me how awsome Microsoft support is. 🙂

Ok, found the anwer myself. and sharing it here with others that might run into problems with ActiveSync when upgrading from Windows 2000 to Windows XP.

The setupapi.log provided the clue I needed. it actually contained useful information, unlike the actual windows dialog. It contained the following text:

#-035 Processing service Add/Delete section [Usb_Rndis.ndi.Services].
#E279 Add Service: Failed to create service «usb_rndisx». Error 1078: The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.
#E033 Error 1078: The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.
#E275 Error while installing services. Error 1078: The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.
#E122 Device install failed. Error 1078: The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.
#E154 Class installer failed. Error 1078: The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.
#I060 Set selected driver.

Using the information above, I searched the registry using «RegEdit» for «usb_rndis». I found several keys called «usb_rndisy», I removed all those keys. I then reinstalled ActiveSync 4.2 again, plugged in my Pocket PC and it WORKED!

Aparently, when the updated drivers tried to install my PocketPC device, the usb_rndisx service was conflicting with the old usb_rndisy service.

Affer accessing the Registry Editor and going to Find, and searching for the key usb_rndisx.

I am only finding 3 files:

(Default) REG_SZ (value not set)

I am still getting thr message that it:

Cannot Install this Hardware. saying there is a problem with.

To Fix this issue, when the Wizard appears to install the new hardware, you only need to brouse and select the ActiveSync folder which contains the drivers you need, normaly you can find this folder inside program files, and Volllaaaaaa, thats all

I know that this thread is now several months old. but I recently upgraded from Win2K to XP SP2. After hours and hours of trying to figure out what service was conflicting, and reading in other places that the Microsoft recommended fix is to re-format and do a clean install, this post was truly a wonder!

I knew that the problem lie in some registry key loading something that was conflicting, but my software engineering skills are not sophisticated enough to be able to parse out which key was the problem. This worked perfectly!

Try your PC firewall switch off then no problem with ActiveSync and USB plug or if you want with Infrared can with Firewall.

In my windowsxp up to date I got an annoucemant ´´There were a problem installing this hardware, this device can not start. (Code 10). Anyone knows how to solve this problem.

I tried all methods here to connect my Hp rw6815 to windows xp service pack 2, activesync 4.5 computer by RNDIS Sync Mode. The fault was

I had this problem after swapping motherboards on my WinXPSP2 machine (nforce3 to ULi), and spent quite a while trying to upgrade USB drivers, motherboard «combo» drivers, etc.

I know this thraed is alittle old, but can you help on this further?

I had a previous version of the software (and different phone) installed before, but thought I had uninstalled this AND cleaned the Registry up before trying to install the new one.

Can you give me a clue as to where in the egistry you found the usb_rndisx keys and do you think these are keys specific to ActiveSync (which I also have installed on my PC by the way).

For all the people with similar problems to this, here is a solution to fixing the RNDIS on WinXP and activesync connection (not switching to the older USB one) and having problems installing activesync 4.5 (some with windows installer problems during installation but this fix applies to many rndis issues).

this removes the msi installer service from your computers registry (temporerally)

re-registers the msi installer service again

5- ensure startup type is manual

6- in the «logon» tab > «log on as» is set to «local system account» and that «allow service to interact with the desktop» is not checked

if this does not help, try repeating the above only instead of install choose «repair» for activesync 4.5.

if this does not help, perform steps 1-7 then uninstall activesync, restart pc. repeat steps 1-7 then reinstall activesync.

this fix worked for me. however ensure that you have also opened the necessary ports and protocols in your firewall(s) as follows, these fixes should be applied to windows firewall automatically if thats what your using, however ensure that they are all present and of course if this is not the firewall your using add them to that also (I added them to my router’s NAT also for good measure)

First of all you need to grant the following ActiveSync components access through your firewall:

Just take a look at your firewall settings, you should find options there to allow individual applications that access. All these files can be found in your standard ActiveSync installation folder, usually «C:Program FilesMicrosoft ActiveSync».

But wait, that’s not all. You also need to allow ActiveSync to communicate through your ports by opening the following ones for unrestricted usage:

finally, if this does not solve your connection problem, a simple solution exists but will mean that you cant use your pocket pc to access the internet through the computers internet connection, simply disable «advanced network functionality» on the device (start > settings > system > «usb to pc» > untick «enable advanced network functionality» (this option is only available in windows mobile 6.x or above)

After trying everything in this thread, and getting rather annoyed the following fixed my issues:

Using the information above, I searched the registry using «RegEdit» for «usb_rndis». I found several keys called «usb_rndisy», I removed all those keys. I then reinstalled ActiveSync 4.2 again, plugged in my Pocket PC and it WORKED!

Aparently, when the updated drivers tried to install my PocketPC device, the usb_rndisx service was conflicting with the old usb_rndisy service.

Richard, your solution didn’t help, was i believe it was helpful.
I did everything menntioned like you said, except my registry was name usb_rndisx and not usb_rndisy, but anyways, i deleted them, it didnt help.
I re-downloaded active sync 4.5, and instread of clean install, i repaired, it reintalled all my usb drivers, my generics, drivers etc, after reboot, i connected my ppc, it worked like a charm. so thanks guys for all your post.
