Существует такой пакет, который поможет автоматически настроить внешний вид Вашего Linux-дистрибутива, похожим на внешний вид операционной системы Windows 7. Он называется Win2-7 Pack (для среды Gnome) и Vistar7 (для KDE). Новый внешний вид программ сохраняется даже и в запускаемых в Wine приложениях. В пакете, в качестве web-браузера, используется Firefox, в котором есть плагин, позволяющий браузеру выглядеть, как Internet Explorer с эффектами Aero. Также пакет заменяет приветствие, иконки, анимацию, обои, курсоры, шрифты и многое другое.
Недавно вышла версия пакета под номером 5.8.

Recently, I covered the Android Skin Pack by Hamed, who also brought us the Mac OS X Lion, Windows 8 and Ubuntu 11.04 Skin packs for Windows 7. Nearing the final release of Ubuntu 11.10, he has developed a skin Pack for Windows 7 and Windows XP to make them look like the sleek and stylish Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot. Note: Please bear in mind that such skin packs are difficult to uninstall and cannot be undone by using system restore to revert the changes. Step 1: Launch the EXE file and follow the installation wizard. Click Next to continue.
Step 2: Accept the terms and condition to proceed further. This section also gives contact information for the developer which can be used to provide him with feedback.
Step 3: Select a quick installation option or click custom to remove some options. For example, you may not wish to set the skin pack page as your default home page. Setting the skin pack page as the default home page can help support the developer, since he may be earning ad revenue from his skin pack page or would like to receive more traffic and feedback. It’s up to you if you would like to do that. Click Next to continue.
Step 4: In the next step, select installation options such as the UXTheme Patch, files and extra items.You may optionally uncheck some items (such as wallpapers and third-party software), before proceeding. Select all or some of these options and click Install to start the installation process.
Once this transformation pack is installed, your Windows 7 desktop will get the Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot look. see below screenshots for a demonstration.
