    Fix Video and Graphics Card Drivers problems

    graphics video card driverThe main producers of Video and Graphics Card Drivers are NVIDIA, ATI and Intel. For Laptops and Notebooks some manufacturers, such as Toshiba, Acer, ASUS and Dell, use their own Graphics Drivers.

    The most obvious problems with Graphics or Video Cards are computer crashing, freezing or problems with viewing or launching certain graphics and video files or programs. These problems would suggest you need to update your Graphics or Video Card Drivers.

    Recommended Video Graphics Card Driver Updates

    VGA Graphics Card Drivers are available for Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista & XP. Video Graphics Card Drivers should be kept up-to-date to avoid conflicts. This is really only necessary when either your Driver is very outdated, has become corrupt or often when you update to a new Operating System.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE: For Video Graphics drivers and all other drivers downloading the latest Driver releases can help resolve Driver conflicts and improve your computer’s stability and performance. Updates are recommended for all Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, XP and Vista users.

    Why install Graphics Drivers?

    There are various situations which would require you to install Video Graphics Drivers:

    1. problems with display or seeing graphics/ video error message
    2. an update released by the manufacturer for improved performance

    To fix your Drivers problems you will need to know the particular model of the Video Graphics device you are having problems with (see instructions above). Once you have the details you can search the manufacturers website for your drivers and, if available, download and install these drivers.

    How do I know if I need to update my Drivers?

    If you are unsure of whether or not you need to update your Drivers, or indeed which Drivers may need to be updated, you can run a Drivers scan using a driver update tool (you will need to pay to register this tool but usually the Drivers scan is free). This will allow you to assess your Driver needs without any commitment. Alternatively, you can use the device manager to check if there are problems with any of your hardware devices.

    Can I update the Drivers myself?

    In many cases the answer to this is yes, however in some cases the manufacturers no longer make the Drivers available so you need to use a Driver Update Tool to install the missing Drivers. The purpose of such as tool is to save you time and effort by automatically downloading and updating the Drivers for you.
