Where can I find Windows 10 Bluetooth drivers for my mid-2011 Macbook Pro?
I have installed the Windows 10 Technical Preview on my mid-2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch. I had been running Windows 7 with no problems. The installation had been done using Apple’s BootCamp software. The problem is that, in Windows 10 Device Manager, my Bluetooth USB Host Controller (found in «Other Devices») shows that no drivers are installed. Worse yet, when I click on Properties for the device, I get:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
And, of course, no bluetooth radios show up in the Device Manager. Note that all of this was working perfectly in Windows 7.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Try Windows 8 drivers from Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems — Apple Support for your specific Mac.
Also, on the OSX side look in About This Mac -> More Info -> System Report -> Bluetooth and post the hardware information so non-Apple drivers can also be located/tested.

Bluetooth.

Question: Q: MacBook Pro Boot Camp Windows 10 bluetooth mouse and keyboard problem
I have just installed the Boot Camp with the latest Windows 10 to my MacBook Pro 13″ 2017 macOS 10.14.2. The installation went fine but the Might Mouse and Apple keyboard not working on Windows.
The first time I logged in to the Windows, I checked the Device Manager, both mouse and keyboard were installed under the Bluetooth, all the bluetooth devices reported fine, the mouse and keyboard were paired under the Bluetooth configuration but nothing of them worked.
I cannot remove / unpaired them somehow, I try to turn off the Bluetooth but once it is turned off, I cannot turn it back on again.
I then logged on back to macOS, the mouse and keyboard worked fine, I unpaired them from Mac and booted to Windows, paired them on Windows, it worked. I then booted back to the Mac side and paired them, it also worked on Mac but once I booted to Windows, it stopped working again.
Tried reset SMC, reinstalling both Windows and macOS or tried to manually install the Windows driver from Boot Camp support software did not help (the Broadcom driver was installed but Windows could not start the device, they only work with the Windows default drivers) did not help.

Do you have a Broadcom Network adapter in Windows Device Manager?
Jan 16, 2019 5:40 PM
No, I tried to update the driver for the Bluetooth Device and Bluetooth Radio (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) with the Boot Camp driver by selecting the driver in the Drivers > Broadcom folder but it was unsuccessful, after installing the driver, it said the device cannot be powered up. For the «Broadcom Network adapter», I will check it tonight, thanks for response.
Jan 16, 2019 6:22 PM
W10 is installing what it considers the better driver, even though the Apple-provided driver has more features.
Jan 16, 2019 6:34 PM
I have just checked the Device Manager, the Broadcom Network adapter is there:
Jan 17, 2019 12:35 AM
Right-click on the 802.11ac Broadcom adapter and under Properties check and post the Driver versions.

Can you check if
- BT/WiFi collaboration is enabled (or automatic)
- Windows is not allowed to turn off devices to save power
Jan 17, 2019 1:35 AM
I do not see «BT/WiFi collaboration» in the settings but it seems that I found a workaround.
As I use macOS most of the time, every time I switch to Windows by «restarting», rather than «cold start», if I cold start (shutting down first) the Mac to Windows, I can use my bluetooth mouse and keyboard without issue; if I restart my Mac to Windows, they will not be functioning on Windows.
On the Mac side, no matter how I restart my Mac from Windows or Mac, the bluetooth mouse and keyboard are working fine. I will use to this workaround at the moment, not sure if this issue is by design or something to do with the driver update
Jan 17, 2019 3:02 AM
Can you click on Power Management post the available settings?
Jan 17, 2019 3:39 AM
This is the one:

Disable (uncheck) the first box and test.
Jan 17, 2019 4:28 AM
I did that at the very beginning as I found some people suggested in different forum, it doesn’t work anyway. I think that this power option thing was fixed in the previous Windows update, so I enabled it back as it makes no difference in my issue.

Unfortunately lots of people on this forum have reported that Bluetooth devices don’t work in Windows 10 under Boot Camp. It used to work, but I think (I could be wrong here) there was an EFI update or something when Mojave came out that killed Bluetooth in Windows. Thankfully there’s a fix I just discovered today and it only costs $20:
-Go to your local Best Buy and get a USB-Bluetooth dongle. The one I found is from Insignia and it supports Bluetooth 4.0. I plugged it in, Windows installed it, rebooted and now I can pair my Magic Trackpad 2 without a hitch. It’s USB-A so you’ll need a hub or adapter for use in modern Macbook Pros.
Only downside is your devices will only be tethered to Windows. You won’t be able to go back and forth between Windows and macOS without disconnecting/repairing. I have both Magic Trackpads 1&2 so that isn’t an issue for me — I can use one for Windows and another for Mac, but it could be a problem for other people. But at least it works.
Question: Q: Where can I find Windows 10 Bluetooth drivers for my mid-2011 Macbook Pro?

2) Extract the AppleBluetoothBroadcomInstaller64.exe with 7zip or anything else
3) Go to Device manager find the bluetooth device problem :
4) Update Driver Software > Browser my computer for driver software > let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > Have Disk > Browse the extracted folder > OK > Next > Close
5) Its should worked again.
Aug 9, 2015 2:54 AM
1.) Launch Boot Camp Assistant
2.) Choose «Download the latest Windows support software from Apple» (FAT formatted external USB drive needed)
3.) Boot into Windows 10
4.) Open «BootCamp» folder on your USB drive and double click «setup.exe»
This worked on a 15″ Retina MacBook Pro mid 2014 running Windows 10 Pro.

So this may be a little risky, but. there’s a freeware app called Bluetooth Driver Installer. I just ran 1.0.1.98 Beta 64-bit on Windows 10 Professional 10240 (presumably RTM). Assuming this app is safe (I crossed my fingers), it does create a restore point before it starts installing, so if it screws anything up, you should be able to roll back. The first time I ran it, it failed because it couldn’t write to C:Windowsinfbth.inf. Here’s a workaround.
Browse to the file, right click, click Properties. On the ‘Security’ tab, click ‘Advanced’. ‘Owner’ should show ‘TrustedInstaller’. Change it to your username. Hit OK, OK, OK, etc. a few times to get out of the properties dialog. Then pull up the properties on it again, go back to the ‘Security’ tab. Hit ‘Edit’ and add ‘Everyone’ — Full Control. Now the installer works. In Device Manager, it shows up under the Bluetooth sub-tree as ‘Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator’, ‘Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator’, and ‘My new generic Bluetooth adapter’.
Afterwards, I recommend putting all the bth.inf permissions back to the way they were. Edit the permissions again and remove the ‘Everyone’ permission you created. Then click ‘Advanced’. Click ‘Change’ next to the Owner. You have to type in ‘NT ServiceTrustedInstaller’ (this won’t show up in search results, so just type/copy+paste it w/o the »s). Hit OK a bunch of times and you’re all set.
I just did this a few minutes ago so I don’t know whether Windows 10 will undo the modifications one day. Also sfc /scannow may not like it.
Windows 10 update on bootcamp bluetooth issues fix
My bluetooth stopped working once windows 10 upgrade was installed. I found this simple fix:
- Open Device Manager, open the Bluetooth Radios subtree, right-click the «Apple Broadcom Built-in Bluetooth» icon, and choose the «Update Driver Software. » menu item.
- Choose «Browse my computer for driver software»
- Choose «Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer»
- Select «Apple Inc.» for Manufacturer, and «Apple Built-in Bluetooth» for Model, and click Next.
After the driver installed, The device list sows «Apple Broadcom Built-in Bluetooth» had been replaced by «Apple Built-in Bluetooth» and «Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator» in the Bluetooth Radios subtree of Device Manager
I was then able to use the Add a device wizard to set up my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

@joesej thanks for posting this work around. It worked a treat for my apple Bluetooth card in Windows 10. I have been able to pair my iPhone and keyboard via Bluetooth.
Now I just need to get a wireless driver that works reliably in Windows 10 with my Broadcom (BCM943602CS) Wi-Fi combo card.

Yes I have both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules for this card working under Windows 10.
I downloaded the latest Apple drivers using Bootcamp Assistant under OS X. The BC Assistant wizard allows you to save the latest Apple drivers to a FAT32 formatted USB stick.
The previous drivers that have been hosted in various locations on line were v5 drivers, these do not work under Windows 10.
The latest Apple drivers are v6, which I understand have been written for Windows 10.
Once you have downloaded the latest drivers, navigate to BootcampDriversBroadcom
There you will find the wireless and Bluetooth drivers for this card. Install these and both should be ready and waiting to be used.
I have attached a screenshot of the Device Manager tree from my PC, which shows the Apple Bluetooth and Broadcom 802.11ac wireless elements are correctly installed.
The tree also shows a couple of ‘Other Device’ items, which are part of the combo card and Apple specific I think. Anyway the card works without drivers for these other two elements.

This worked for me; it might not work for you. Remember I’m just same random guy on the internet so I take no responsibility for anything that happens to your machine. Okay?
The Problem
As yet (5th Aug 2015) there’s no official support from Apple for Windows 10 running through Boot Camp. So, when I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10, I was expecting there to be a couple of issues. One of these was a lack of Bluetooth. Also getting the fn key working.
But, it turns out to be easy to fix.
Get the Driver
The driver for Windows 8.1 works with 10, so you just need to grab that.
Go to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204048 and find your machine in the list. You want to look for the zip file download of the Boot Camp Assistant software.
For me, it was this one:
Download that file (it’s pretty big – 882Mb for my one) and unzip that once done.
Install the Driver
Inside the unpacked folder, go into the BootCamp folder and then into the $WinPEDriver$ folder under that.
The driver needs to be installed via device manager so just confirm that the AppleBluetoothBroadcom64 folder is there for now.
In Windows, open up device manager (the easiest way to do this is just hit the Windows key and type ‘device manager’ – it’ll be the first result).
Expand other devices and you should see an unknown device.
Right click it and select Update driver software.
Chose the second option on the pop up to browse your computer for the driver software.
Browse to the $WinPEDriver$ from your downloads and select that. Make sure Include subfolders is checked and then click Next and Windows will install the Bluetooth driver for your Mac Book.

I have installed Windows 7 on MacBook Pro using BootCamp. Usually when turning my Bluetooth headset on and trying to pair it with Mac for the first time, Windows fails to install the drivers and opens a solution in Action Center, which suggests to download the driver from the Broadcom webpage. This used to work for me before, drivers were installed and everything worked well. However now, when I start the driver installer, it would get stuck at «Detecting Bluetooth Device» stage. There is also a warning with text, which says «Please plug in or turn on your Bluetooth device»:
I have tried turning my headset on/off, bringing it into pairing mode, installing/uninstalling device to/from the Bluetooth Devices. None of these worked. Any ideas?

I’ve found that installing the Acer Broadcom Bluetooth driver on the following web page works for a late 2010 15″ MacBook Pro running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit under BootCamp:
http://www.downloadatoz.com/driver/articles/free-download-acer-aspire-as5740-laptop-driver.html
Before installing the driver the laptop would detect the Bluetooth device (Creative D200 speakers) but not be able to pair due to lack of a driver, which it then searched for but could not download. After installation the speakers work fine. They use the A2DP high quality BlueTooth audio codec.

Apparently what it tries to find is the bluetooth receiver itself, not the device that connect to it (e.g. headset, mouse etc.). I have no idea why it didn’t work with built-in device that is somewhere inside my laptop, but it did with another external bluetooth usb thumb. Once I have plugged it in, the installer has recognized it and installed drivers. Apparently same drivers worked for my built-in bluetooth, so i just unplugged usb thumb and since then it works for me. Hope this will be useful for someone.

This was driving me nuts. I put in a larger SSD today going from a 120GB to a 240GB and blew away my Windows partition to make the process easier to expand OS X, etc. After installing Windows again, the only thing in Device Manager that wouldn’t load was the Bluetooth USB Host Controller. Tried every package in Bootcamp for version 4.0.4033 and 5.0.5033 and no luck.
Finally I came across this site:
Solution: How to get Bluetooth to work in Parallels 7.
-
Basically, right-click the device in Device Manager, go to Properties, select Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from Property drop down. Copy the shortest value.
(For illustration, he reports that his wasUSBVID_05AC&PID_8218
.) -
Find your bootcamp drivers and under bootcamp/drivers/apple/x64 copy AppleBluetoothInstaller64 to a folder on your desktop and unzip it. I use WinRAR to extract to the same folder.
-
Find the files that got extracted/unzipped and, using Notepad, edit the file called
AppleBT64.inf
. -
Look for the following lines:
; for Windows 7 only [Apple.NTamd64.6.1] ; No action ; OS will load in-box driver.
Get rid of the last two lines, i.e., the following:
; No action ; OS will load in-box driver.
And add this line (paste your value you got earlier in place of
USBVID_05ac&PID_8218
):Apple Built-in Bluetooth=AppleBt, USBVID_05ac&PID_8218
So in the end it should look like the following:
; for Windows 7 only [Apple.NTamd64.6.1] Apple Built-in Bluetooth=AppleBt, USBVID_05ac&PID_8218
-
Save the changes.
-
Select Update the driver for the Bluetooth device in Device Manager and point it to the folder with the extracted/unzipped files and it should install the Bluetooth drivers then.

Just found this link as well that does the same thing:

Easiest way on Windows 10 this worked for Late Mac 2013 with i7 intel (just figured it out)
- Uninstall the current driver from Properties tab
- Go back into properties tab and it should give you the option to install a driver because there is none installed.
- add driver from list of available drivers already on windows when it prompts you to browse (should be the options underneath the browse one telling you to install from already available windows drivers)
- on the list shown with all the manufacturers choose Broadcom then under the sub list that appears chose the ANYCOM USB-200/250 Blue tooth Adapter.
Woila! itll detect everything on your MacBook and you should be able to connect your mouse to the computer at that point it takes about a minute or two to start seeing the mouse work and I’m assuming any hardware you try to connect will be similar. Not sure why people are making it difficult using editors etc this worked flawlessly.
Good Luck!
