Установщик выдал сообщение с заголовном «Setup Blocked» и текстом «Windows Program Compatibility mode is on. Turn it off and then try Setup again» (скриншот в начале поста).
I’m trying to install Visual Studio 2012 Express for Windows Desktop and every time I run the installer I get this error:
«Windows Program Compatibility mode is on. Turn it off and then try setup again.»
I checked the file properties and compatibility mode was off. Googling found that changing the name to «vs_premium.exe
» or «vs_ultimate.exe
» or changing the registry keys might help, but the name changes had no effect, and there were no registry keys to delete. I have restarted my machine several times to no avail.
Changing to Visual Studio 2013 is not an option for me, as my work computer has Visual Studio 2012 on it which they will not update to 2013, and I need to work on my project on both computers.
The computer I am using has a Windows 8.1 HP Pavilion g6. I have installed Visual Studio 2013 for Windows Desktop, Web, and Windows, as well as the 30-day trial for Professional (which has recently expired). I have also installed Visual Studio 2012 for Windows Phone but I have not used it yet.

Previous posts are correct in that compatibility mode appears to be based entirely on file names. There is a simple method for determining precisely which name Windows expects:
Right-click the file, select Properties and navigate to the Details tab. There should be an entry labelled «Original filename». Simply rename the file accordingly and it should run happily.

If you downloaded Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio 2013 at the same time and one was renamed with a «(0)
» suffix (just as I did) then change the installer to the original name will probably fix it, because «somehow compatibility checking is based on file naming»

In case you mounted it, first extract the content before you install. it worked for me.
Had the same issue installing vs_ultimate
on Windows 10, It tells me to turn compatibility mode off which I didn’t know to do. After reading all the solutions above without success, I was able to solve it on my own.
I mounted the .iso
before installing which was giving me problem, but later as I extracted it into a desktop folder, it installed fine.

I couldn’t find a solution, but I could find a workaround. I downloaded the offline installer (ISO) and ran that instead. It’s not a solution, but it should work in this situation.

I ran into this problem and the solution for me was to rename the file back to its original name. I had downloaded it as «vs2012sdk_full.exe
» but the original name was «vssdk_full.exe
«. When I ran it as «vs2012sdk_full.exe
» I got the compatibility mode error. Once I renamed it back to the original «vssdk_full.exe
» it worked.

In a round about way I discovered the problem on my system. Check the properties of the installer. Mine was blocked because it was downloaded from another system. Click unblock. Voila! If you can’t find the location of the installer, run it again. When it fails, leave it running. Open task manager, right click the installer, then open file location. This will take you to the folder containing your installer.

I had the same problem. I had run the installer from an ISO, reading from the DVD image.
The solution was to simply take the ISO and uncompress it as a .RAR into some folder, and everything worked.

Well, filename varies from versions to versions. Fix:
- Right Click on file
- Select Properties
- Select «Details» tab
- Rename that file to value of «Original Filename»

There isn’t any application file inside that directory. I’m installing VS 2013 using an ISO file.

If you are installing from an ISO file then copy everything from the folder to the local disk and install it from there. It worked for me, I had the same problem.
Visual Studio 2013.
Я загрузил SDK с https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=VisualStudioProductTeam.MicrosoftVisualStudio2013SDK.
Setup Blocked : Windows Program Compatibility mode is on. Turn it off and then try again.
Я обновил имя файла от en_visual_studio_2013_sdk_x86_3009047.exe
до vssdk_full.exe,

Setup Blocked : Windows Program Compatibility Mode
I’m trying to install «Modeling SDK for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013» on Windows 10 Tech Preview Build 10049:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40754
But always get:
«Setup Blocked»
Windows Program Compatibility mode is on. Turn it off and then try Setup again.
Compatibility tab on the setup VS_VmSdk.exe shows compatibility mode is off. No variation of settings on that tab have any effect.
Is there any way to bypass the compatiblity check on Windows 10 Tech Preview?

I’ve just installed Firefox on my laptop and keep getting the message, «Windows cannot find ‘c:Program Files (x86)Mozilla Firefoxfirefox.exe’. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.» I get this message whenever I either try to open it from the Start menu or from the desktop icon. I’ve never gotten it to work and even uninstalled it and then redownloaded it and still cannot get it to open. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Are you installing from the official site? http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
If you use Windows Explorer (My Computer) to check that path, is the Mozilla Firefox folder there? That is the normal installation location, but I think it’s worth checking.
If the folder isn’t there or firefox.exe is not in it, I wonder whether some other software might be interfering. You might want to run some supplemental security scans. These two tools are highly regarded:

I keep getting the error message «apple application support is required to run itunes. Please uninstall itunes and then install it again.» I’ve done this twice and still keep getting the same message…I’m at wits end Please HELP!!!
Let’s try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select «Extract to iTunesSetup» (or «Extract to iTunes64Setup»). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called «iTunesSetup» (or «iTunes64Setup»).
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -

Searching on the web for something to open it I get the message from the windows website:

Admin gets the following message while trying to update software: None of the selected updates could be saved. A network error has occurred. Check your Internet connection, and then try again. Any suggestions?
I’m the Adnin. just recently I tried to update system software (Lion OS). The following message was returned. None of the selected updates could be saved. A network error has occurred. Check your Internet connection, and then try again. but I have internet access )email, Safari, etc.). Any idea of what is happenening?
The error may be at Apple’s end rather than yours. It could also be due to corrupted files on your computer. Try deleting the following:
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate/
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
Restart your computer. -
Issue with turning on project 2010 / 2013 — «There is not enough memory to complete the operation. To free up available memory, close programs, projects, or windows you aren’t using, and then try again.»
I get the following error after the installation and configuration window of MS Project: «There is not enough memory to complete the operation. To free up available memory, close programs, projects, or windows you aren’t using, and then try again.»
It happens both with MS Project 2010 and 2013 on a Windows 7 desktop.
I tried installing / uninstalling Office 2010, MS Project, tried installing 32 and then 64 bit versions, clean up, disk error checker, startup changes (msconfig), anti virus, running as Windows 7 and then Windows XP compatible mode.
Nothing helps. I see this issue reported as early as 2007 version of MS projects on Microsoft forums, but I do not see any solution anywhere. Any suggestions on how to fix the issue without having to reformat hard drive? Every other application, including
all other Office programs work seamlessly.
I also tried Microsoft support, after an hour and a half of basically doing what I did before, I was told I have to pay 99$ for «premium» support, so someone can look at this bug.
I have 16 Gb RAM and more than 200Gb or hard drive free, so actual memory is not the problem. This issue was originally reported with MS Project 2007 and keeps popping up since.
A quick Google search provides more than 200K pages of results of this issue:
https://www.google.ca/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=There+is+not+enough+memory+to+complete+the+operation.+To+free+up+available+memory%2C+close+programs%2C+projects%2C+or+windows+you+aren’t+using%2C+and+then+try+again.
And 193K results on Bing:
http://www.bing.com/search?q=There+is+not+enough+memory+to+complete+the+operation.+To+free+up+available+memory%2C+close+programs%2C+projects%2C+or+windows+you+aren%27t+using%2C+and+then+try+again.&go=Submit&qs=n&form=QBLH&pq=there+is+not+enough+memory+to+complete+the+operation.+to+free+up+available+memory%2C+close+programs%2C+projects%2C+or+windows+you+aren%27t+using%2C+and+then+try+again.&sc=0-0&sp=-1&sk=&cvid=4cb023c1fbd94ec2bba9821b095f21f2
Computer was defragged already. I run more tests, and specifically when MS Projects tries to run, it tries to take all memory, more than 300Gb, on the computer. (DropBox was running at the same time, and warned that there were no space. As soon as MS Project
stopped attempting to configure itself, everything came back to normal and the available space became available again.)
Looking through older forum posts, looks like this application tries to take «unlimited» amount of memory. Some registry fixes are mentioned potentially, but I was not able to apply them.
Since everything else works, this is a MS Project bug reported by multiple users on various versions of Windows, including Vista and 7, so please provide a fix and not ‘not a know bug’ lie. All the premium support will say, is to format the hard drive, unless
they have a patch or a registry edit solution. If the latter is true, since the issue exists for multiple years, it should have been already been provided to users.
Also, I am not running a SQL server, or any server, this is an installation on a local machine. -

Help me please.Hi
I would recommend you to run Test-IRMConfiguration -Sender [email protected] and see the results as well.
Grant access to Exchange servers to use ADRMS for IRM. Perform the following task.
Open IIS on ADRMS server – open default Website – Click _wmcs – Select Certification
Switch to content view – right click on servercertification.asmx and click edit permissions ensure that Exchange servers are listed. If not add the exchange servers and the ADRMS managed account and grant editor access to them.

Adobe Reader won’t open Tried installing updated Adobe Reader and error came up in the process and told me to contact software manufacturer. Could I uninstall current Adobe Reader and then try installing the current AR? Any ideas?
My Adobe Reader wouldn’t download tickets. Tried opening Adobe Reader application but it would not open. I saw my Adobe Reader needed to be updated, so I attempted to install new Adobe Reader. (Had to step away & do things) I can’t even open up the Adobe Reader application to uninstall; get message it won’t open. And now have more things needing to be downloaded to print. Any ideas on how to open the app, so I can uninstall. I have a MAC OS X 10.9.4 When the installation initially failed I received this message from Adobe, » Adobe Reader Installation Error Package name Adobe Reader xi (11.0.07) Installer: installing abase path/installer: The install failed (The install encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Once I turn off the browser and then try to use it later, I get a message saying its already running but not responding. tells me to close it which I cant do since its already closed. Forces me to restart my computer
Each time I start, use and close Firefox, when I try to use it the 2nd time, I get a message saying its already running but not responding. It Isn’t. I have to restart my computer everytime I want to use Firefox.

»'[[Firefox is already running but is not responding]]»’
<u>»’Safe Mode»'</u>
You may need to use »'[[Safe Mode]]»’ (click on «Safe Mode» and read) to localize the problem. Firefox SafeMode is a diagnostic mode that disables extensions and some other features of Firefox. If you are using a theme, switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes before starting Safe Mode. When entering Safe Mode, do not check any items on the entry window, just click «Continue in Safe Mode». Test to see if the problem you are experiencing is corrected.
See:
»'[[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]»’
»'[[Troubleshooting plugins]]»’
»'[[Basic Troubleshooting]]»’
If the problem does not occur in Safe-mode then disable all of your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via File > Restart Firefox (on Mac: Firefox > Quit). You can use «Disable all add-ons» on the Safe mode start window.
